Can't log in to it. got this at a Toshiba TECRA A8-S8513 garage sale. it comes on but I can't get passed the log in. HELP
OLD LAPTOPS 13years old, and XP login PW lost.
(xp is easy to hack PW ,ask) but XP OMG (burn that to ground treat it like Plague it is))
the battery is bad and shorted, remove it and run on AC only, OK>? nor is it safe to keep that relic battery inside any home, get rid of it (recycle center)
it runs the virus magnet XP.
and is unsafe today to use XP.
upgrade to W7 or LInux.
the first test is to test the HDD.
if that is good, passes the smart test we load
w7 on it, or Ubuntu 17_ linux.
we boot to LINUX demo desk to see that PC runs ok
and HDD tests past, costs nothing if you have a blank USB memory stick?> rim demo mode (try me)

Not that I know of but you can download a workshop manual for some laptops which will give you an idea.
They aren't too bad to do providing you follow instructions.
