Trying to increase caller sound on the Alcatel one touch. I've found sound under settings but do not see volume.

Your phone uses sounds and vibrations to alert you, including ringtones, app notifications, alarms, and navigation feedback. You can customize any of these sounds, as well as control their volumes.

1. Change default ringtone for incoming calls

• Touch "Settings" icon from Home screen or under main menu.
• Touch "Sound".
• Touch "Phone ringtone." You will see a list of ringtones
• Touch a ringtone to select and hear it.
• Touch "OK" to confirm your final selection.

Go to the settings and make the call app to display notifications or sound out...if using a downloaded app for calling, adjust the settings of the app

If you have it to max setting that is it.

2. To turn the volume down, press the Volume down button.
3. To change the volume settings within the menu system, touch APPS.
4. Scroll to and touch Settings.
5. Touch Sound

you have to go to the sound setting to increase the volume

Under settings, the gear wheel looking button.
Select sound, then select volumes.
"Touch to set volume for Media, Ringtone, Notifications
and Alarm."
It should be ringtone volume.

The rocker volume is on the side of the phone. Up or down controls the volume.

You need to modify the sound settings, select Options > Customize. One of the functions available is :
Volume: Press the Left or Right Navigation key to adjust the volume using the Up or Down Navigation key or volume key on the left side of your phone.

Check you settings in two places for the correct audio out settings:

1. Look up under the System Preferences menu (the Apple pull down menu) the sound icon (looks like a speaker) and click on it to open it. At the top it will show three choices, Sound Effect, Output, Input. The problem you can't hear the Skype caller is likely the Output setting is incorrect. For example, you may have Line Out selected, but you are listing on head phones. Make the device name match what you are using to make sound.
Also check to see that the output volume is not set too low. Move the slider around to increase the volume.

2. Then check your Skype setting.Under Skype>preferences, select Auto/Video. Check to see what is selected under "Speakers: and check again to see the Volume is turned up high enough to hear.

Also make sure you have a good speaker or headphone connection.

You can check to see if you can hear by calling the Skype test call number to record yourself and listen to it. Go the www.skype.com/go/help for more information.

The rubber volume button on the outside of the phone adjusts both the ringer volume and the call volume, which is how loud a caller sounds when on a call. If you are not on a call, the volume button will adjust the ringer volume. To adjust the volume of a caller, you must adjust the volume while on that call.

To do this, while looking at the inside screen, adjust the volume by using the rubber volume button, which can be found on the outside of the phone. Press the top of the button to increase the volume and the bottom of the button to decrease the volume. The inside screen will display the call volume level. You may also set the call on Speakerphone mode. If you have the Jitterbug J model, there should be a button labelled "SPKR" on the upper left corner of the keypad.
