Question about Westinghouse SK-32H240S Television
I have a new Westinghouse SK-32H240S (HDTV), a 10 yr. old Philips SVA106AT22 (VCR), a 10 or 11 yr. old Thomson DRD222RD Direct-tv (sat. box), an Apex AD-1100W (DVD player), and a SSI Cineplex 220 (Pro-Logic surround sound system).
Also an Off-Air antenna for local channels.
Everything is hooked up and working fine except the VCR. I can play tapes but since the DTV transition I can no longer record. Is there some different way of hooking up the VCR or do I need to use a digital to analog converter box for recording and how would I hook things up to record one channel and watch a different channel from two different sources such as dish/antenna and visa versa, dish/dish, antenna/antenna. :-/

I carried my Westinghouse TV to the basement. Unplugged the antenna from the digital converter box and connected it to my digital TV. I then re-scanned for channels and found channel 9. After carrying the Westinghouse TV back upstairs, I connected the original set-up and tuned to channel 9 which was now showing on the screen as no signal. From that point I moved my VHF dipoles until I had located the correct position for reception. A little labor intensive, but I was fortunate to have another antenna that was receiving channel 9.

I don't have DTV anymore, so I don't remember the exact code I used for my SK-32H240S, However, I do remember that I found one that worked at this site. Scroll down to locate your remote series # - it most likely will be printed on the upper left corner of the front of the remote - as an example, mine says RC64. Click on the corresponding listing, then follow the directions on the site. I tried only a few codes before finding one that worked correctly. Good luck.

one of your transformers probably blew. had same problem with mine so took it apart and saw the problem. did some research. Darfon makes the power board and you have to buy the whole board not just the transformer. could cost you around 200 dollars. best bet is to call a local tv repair company and see if the have spare transformers for that lcd.
