What is production date for Springfield M1 Garand serial number 5418099?

Ok Barry.... If its from the Springfield armoury you may have a problem. You see, the Korean Era Garands are VERY hard to pinpoint the exact month. Its because of record keeping.
The 1950s production must be approximated by year, barrel dates, etc.
But from what I can see it may be in the month of December.

It's a small oval with a number and a letter stamped inside of it.
You can also google search with what you do know about gun, lots of info out there. check the link, good luck.

September 1941 (serial numbers 324,302 - 349,442)

Depends on manufacturer.



If it\'s a Springfield Armory, June, 1945. (3 months before end of WWII)
