SOURCE: hi, i purchased yamaha fc15 sustain

The answer is NO... Roland uses the opposite sense switches on foot pedals... They use NIRMALLY CLOSED and your Yamaha is a NORMALLY OPEN switch.

SOMETIMES you can open these pedals and find that the pedal has the opposite sense switch available and you only have to unsolder and move one wire to make it a NORMALLY CLOSED pedal.

How do i cannect my roland -09 to my PC then use FL studio or audacity with midi cables?

Do you mean the Roland E-09 or another Roland product? You need a MIDI to USB In/Out converter. Make sure that the converter is supported by the manufacturer with your OS version. One example is https://www.amazon.com/Converter-LiDiVi-Professional-Keyboard-Adapter/dp/B071KLC884 . This is a USB 2.0 device that works with Windows XP through Windows 10 and Mac OS X. A few others are reviewed here: https://www.musicrepo.com/best-selling-midi-interfaces-the-ultimate-top-10/ . You may need to be connected to the internet and allow your computer to obtain drivers for other devices. Connect the cable appropriately. Turn on the Roland device and make sure that your OS sees the USB device before launching your software. Note: Audacity can only import a MIDI file as a Note Track, https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Midi . You'll need additional software to capture the MIDI from the device. Some options are listed at the bottom of the Wiki page above. You may need to try several options to find a program that you like.

The Roland E-09 manual is available here: https://www.roland.com/us/support/by_product/e-09/owners_manuals/ . Other Roland support is available here: https://www.roland.com/us/support/ .

I hope this helps. I'm not familiar with FL Studio's menu. I haven't used Audacity's MIDI features. I use the software to digitize audio from Line In and microphone.

How do I replace the display in a roland ra 800 ?

If it's just dim, you probably only need a new backlight, which you can buy from http://www.telesisgear.com/id16.html
It's pretty simple to do, but obviously you have to be comfortable dis-assembling the unit and doing minor soldering. They provide instructions with the part.

What is better, roland e-09 or roland e-14?

Here is the spec sheet for the Roland E-09:http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.php?ProductId=828 The Roland E-14 was manufactured in 1996 and the specifications are not easily available on the internet. If you are considering buying one (E-14) make sure it is in good shape with everything working and you can get it cheaper than a new E-09. If you really want to compare you will have to find a manual for a E-14 and download a manual for a E-09 and compare the features side by side. If you have an E-14 and are considering purchasing a new E-09 find a local dealer who is selling the new one and see if you can take yours there and compare them side by side. Comparison should be a personal decision. I might like a Chev and you might like a Ford. You pretty much have to decide for yourself. If you are buying one look at your budget and compare other keyboards with similar features. Also consider whether the amount of playing you will do might justify saving up some money to buy a higher end Roland if you are particular to Roland. Let me know if this helps.
