My 750L boss hoover washing machine is not spin drying belt is intact there was an electrical smell when I entered room water pump all else seems fine

i think you will find the carbon brushes r worn out they r mounted on the side of the motor held on by 2 5.5mm nuts or 2 screws 1 brush on each side of the motor switch off at the mains b4 you start work good luck

this will be your carbon brushes which are situated at your motor in a plastic cover with a wire is attached if these are low then it will not spin must be at least 8ml long for it to work they start off about an 1inch in length

I had this problem. I alternated the hot and cold water valves (changing over the wiring) and then hot tap then dribbled instead of the cold. Replacement part i believe is around $35AU

is this not spinning due to not pumping out water/..if so clean drain pump/check filter.this should fix
