Log in to your PayPal account.
Click Profile near the top of the page.
Click My settings.
Click Close Account in the Account type section and follow the steps listed.

Transfer any money still in the account to your bank account. This process can take 3 or 4 business days to complete, depending on your bank's procedures. Check that that has proceeded smoothly before closing the PayPal account.
