Frigidaire FFLe400c3qw0. Seems frozen. I think it stopped before spin cycle. Unplug, plug in reset didn't work. Tub is in a locked position -- will not freely spin.

SOURCE: Front loader will not spin

The problem is the door latch assembly. You can get it at your local parts supplier or oder it through repairclinic.com. Should cost $50-$55. My hubby is replacing mine now. Not an easy part to replace, but by all information I have gathered from the manufacturer and the parts department, this is a common problem and most likely the cause of the machine not spinning. It runs through all the rest of the cycles, but will not spin, even on spin only cycle. The good news... if you replace the door latch assembly once, the replacement part is much stronger than the original and shouldn't have to be replaced again.

SOURCE: Grinding sound during agitation cycle on my Maytag Performa

Its probably you stator plate and rotor. But you need special tools for this repair. There a spring that is under 200 pounds of pressure and if you take the screws off that hold the plate its going to fly into you face if your dont use the special tools to depress the spring. Is it more of a clanking kinda of noise? DOes it olnly happen with heavy loads? Try this out. Fill the washer with water only. and get it into a wash cycle with water only. If there is no noise then put in like a load of towels. A heavy load. Now if you hear the noise now then its for sure you stator plate and rotor..hope this helps, but like i said you need those special tools to do this repair or injury can result from the spring part.

My ATF6000ES Front Loading washer runs on any cycle for about 5 minutes then stops, and the display resets to the start and nothing more happens. Got an E48 code and ran "test 7" and the tub did not

Hello Nick Jensen, thanks for your post!
From what you have described your Frigidaire washer is displaying an error code of "E48" and you have changed the control board with the problem continuing to be present. An "E48" error code could be a possible problem with your door lock assembly, motor control board, or control panel. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

KenmorenLaunry center not draining or advancing cycles

Hi David if the timer is not cycling the tub will not drain ,the washer will not complete cycles, second check the lock switch on the door. this can stop the timer and the tub from draining. when not cycling the timer is at fault , this could be two problems, 1st when everything stops check the door safety switch , 2nd listen for the timer, if it stops running. good luck ,geodaws

Rattling noise in spin, spin problems becoming more pronounced. control panel lights flash but 0 error codes. unplug 2 reset, probl repeats

If this noise is happening while it's trying to drain water then you have something floating around in the lump. Coins are very common. If the noise is happening during a spin cycle and more pronounced during the final high spin cycle, you have bearing or spin tub issues. Time to go shopping.

Frigidaire model fex831fs4 will not drain or spin

My problem was a little different but I want to post this for others that might experience the same.

My Frigidaire Washer/Dryer Stack Combo Model FEX831FS4 was not draining and had a humming/buzzing noise when it got to drain/rinse cycle. This is usually and probably caused by a small sock or thin or small underwear that got sucked out the top and into the drain hose. I have no idea why they did not design this with a rubber flap like most washers to protect from items going up and out but here's how you fix it.

IF your unit is having this issue STOP and don't try runnin drain/rinse cylces anymore or you may damage the water pump and have to buy a new one. I think I damaged mine from trying to drain the water so many times with a sock clogged in there... but so far it is working anyway, just with a buzzing noise.

HERES THE FIX

You need to TAKE OFF the FRONT COVER and REMOVE the ITEMS FROM the HOSE leading to the WATER PUMP. The water pump is on the bottom front left and theres only TWO SCREWS to get off the FRONT COVER of the washer/dryer. They are on the bottom by the feet. Have someone tilt the unit backwards and unscrew them with a phillips head and then pull the front cover down and off. There is a rubber snap pin in the top center of the cover but it will come loose as you pull down.

In order to get at the water pump you do NOT need to pull the washer/dryer out, you can get at everything from the front. However it might be a wise decision to unplug the power since water will be draining everywhere.

First siphon out all the water in the tub, whatever you don't siphon will immediately coming rushing out once you remove the hose from the water pump.

I would UNPLUG the electrical connector on that water pump and tie it up out of the way because even if you siphoned the water there will still be water in the hoses and probably under the washer tub some.

Disconnect the hose that comes from the tub to the water pump. That's where I found a small children's sock clogging the pump. Dry off the water pump plug connector pins if they got wet (where you removed the plug from) and reconnect the electric connector.

We tried many times to run the drain cycle before taking the washer/dryer apart so your water pump might be shot as I think mine is. Now mine always makes a buzzing noise as if it's wore out from being worked with a sock blocking it's inner part. You might need to replace your water pump.

I tried washing a rug - I believe it was too heavy and moved the washer around during the spin cycle. Now it is not spinning, it make the sound but it won't turn - I can move the tub around with my hand...

Hello- First unplug the washer. The out-of-balance switch may have gotten tripped. If you open the lid and look in the space between the tub and the top in the rear right corner you should see a plastic "arm" sticking down, reach you hand back there and move it back away from the tub. This lever actuates a switch in the control panel that will prevent it from spinning if there is pressure on it, it should be hanging freely away from the tub. Plug the machine back in and test it. If it doesn't work another thing that may be happening is the tub is not engaging on the transmission. With the tub empty reach inside the top perimeter of the tub and lift it up and let it down a few times, sometimes this will reset it and get it to spin. Lastly, i would check that the lid is locking when you put it into spin, the lid lock light should come on and you should not be able to lift the lid. If the lid is not locking you may need to have a F/P Tech out to replace the lid lock. You can test the spin by setting the machine to Permanent Press and advancing the cycle to spin. It will take a few minutes to start spinning usually. Let me know what you discover, good luck. Best regards.

No spin cycle

dear zoofan.lets see hum.....to agaitate the motor goes one direction.to spin useing the same belt it goes the oposing direction.so when spins lid switch completes curcit to motor then it would spin so if click you hear is the motor protector switch [its like a curcit breaker] kicksout that means you lid switch is working. but could the noise be the timer advancing? timer makes clicking noieses also.then that would put into question your lid switch.but you said it starts again after a few minutes.if thats a sure thing then it ,your motor is involved but a possiable is somthing is between the tubs[thats a visiual inspection]sock, any clothing or if had a nail or somthing of that sort going thru small holes in inner tub then jaming or draging on the outer tub that could stop the tub but most of the time the motor would go and would burn the belt.hope i gave you a few clues,God bless ,tom
