It sounds like the lateral,spacing on the bobbin hook. There is a great v2 part video titles Consew 206 RB maintenance. They are about 1.5 hours each. The beginning has a time stamped index. Look for the hook spacing section

Yamata fy 5318 manual

I just received my FY5318. The manual has OK diagrams, but the text is Chinese. The Consew 205RB-1 is the same exact machine as the FY5318 and comes with the same manual but translated into English. It is downloadable from the Consew website.

You can go to the consew official website and download the PDF file for the 210 model. It's the same as the 230 r-1 (which i have). I found this information by calling the consew headquarters.
