Step 1: Check and remove any paper stuck in the paper in tray
·Remove all loose paper from the paper in tray.
·If more than one sheet is stuck in the printer, remove the paper one sheet at a time.
·Take hold of a sheet in the middle of the stack with both hands and firm, even pressure, pull the sheet toward you.
· Usually, removing one or two sheets from the middle of the stack releases the pressure and the rest of the stack can be removed.
·After you have cleared the paper, check to make sure no scraps of paper are stuck in the printer.
Step 2: Clear paper jam from the back of printer

If the paper jam is not easy to reach from the tray
Note: The back of the printer could have a rear access door or a two-sided printing accessory also known as a duplexer.

  • Turn the knob on the rear access door counter-clockwise.
  • Remove the door.
  • Pull the jammed paper out of the printer.
  • Check to make sure no scraps of paper are stuck in the printer.
  • Put the rear access door back into the printer.
  • Turn the knob on the door clockwise.

Step 3: Remove the two-sided printing accessory to clear the paper jam

  • Simultaneously press the RELEASE buttons on each side of the module and remove it.
  • Pull the jammed paper out of the printer.
  • Check to make sure no scraps of paper are stuck in the printer.
  • Push the module back into the printer until it snaps firmly into place.
Note: Do not press the buttons on the ends of the module while replacing it.
·Press the button on top of the two-sided printing accessory and open the door.
·Pull the jammed paper out of the module.
·Check to make sure no scraps of paper are stuck in the printer.
·Close the duplexer door.
Step 4: Lift the front cover and slowly remove any jammed paper.
After trying all the other options listed, open the front cover, grasp the jammed paper and SLOWLY pull it out.

Lexmark X4530 won't load paper to copy

Leading cause of paper jams is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:

  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
  2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
  3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.
  4. If feeder is clear, place the printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
  5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the paper path.
  6. Close the printer cover.
  7. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
  8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Hello. I have a Lexmark x4650 printer/scanner/copier and the paper starts to feed thru and then pulls to one side. I am then unable to print my document. Why does this keep happening and how can i solve...

Try to remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Grab a flashlight and look into the feeder for any foreign objects that might have accidentally fell into it. If feeder is clear, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. While the printer cover is open, check inside for any obstructions in the paper path. If none, then close the printer cover. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges. Close the cover. Load some paper (avoid overloading). Try to print again.
If problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

Scans two copies of the same document on one page.

the easiest is to copy to document, then take the new copy and put it back in the paper tray but now make sure to turn it head to bottom.

  1. copy a the document
  2. take to copy and put it back to the tray (usually upside down) and make sure to turn the paper so the image is at the bottom of it.

Try this troubleshooting prodedure. Turn on/off, unplug, plug in2_bing.gif, should reset configs.

Take all the paper out, put half as much back in.
check the rollers to make sure no paper or particles are stuck preventing from accepting paper.

Go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats.

Go to web site of printer model and check site for trouble shooting if this does not work above. Hope this helps and good luck

Auto document feeder

Did you make sure the tape is removed inside the Document feeder,or maybe you need to check to see if anything is stuck in the rollers. Open the door (if you have not already done so) to the document feeder and you will see pictures on the inside showing how you can remove and/or change the roller (make sure everything is put back as the picture. Good luck, I hope that is all that is wrong with it.
