Do you have the 32-bit version of Windows 7 or the 64-bit version? To identify your version, click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System. On the line that gives the OS version, if you see x64, then you have the 64-bit OS. If you do not see these extra characters, then you have the 32-bit version.
I suspect you have the x64 version of Windows 7. Targus does not have drivers for Windows 7 x64 for the ACP50US. Targus only supports the ACP45 and the ACP51 docks under the 64-bit OS.
If you have the 32-bit version of Windows 7, download the driver from http://www.targus.com/us/download.aspx?regionid=&sku=acp50us&PageName=&productCategoryId= . This is the Vista (and XP) driver. You may need to use the compatibility mode to get it to work. Right click on the executable file and choose Properties. In the Compatibility tab, choose "Run this program in the compatibility mode". Select Vista or XP in the drop down menu. Then right click on the installer again and choose Run as Administrator.
I hope this helps and I wish that I had better news for you.
