SOURCE: my roomba goes in the same circle over and over

Sometimes this can occur when one of the wheel motor sensors has dirt in it. I have had some success blowing compressed air into my main wheel units. You can disassemble them for cleaning, but it is quite involved.

SOURCE: Roomba going in circles

Roomba going in circles. Called irobot and if reseting it (by taking out the battery, unplugging it from the charger, and holding down the power button for 30 seconds), didn't work, turn the roomba over, take a compressor and blow air into the front. Maybe a shop vac would also work. We cleaned out the whole thing while we were at it. And now it works just fine. The tech person at irobot was very helpful.

Sounds like the 9-beep error. Google "roomba repair kit" to get it fixed.

My roomba makes a banging noise and goes around in circles

hi.

a roomba going round in circles is so common that it is known as the "circle dance" problem and there are videos on you tube showing you how to fix it, step by step. search for "roomba circle dance" on youtube.

i would not normally redirect you to another site, but these videos are clearer than any written instructions i can give here. watch a few of the videos as there are some slight differences to the basic problem and follow th eone that matches your symptons most closely.

hope this helps

Roomba 560 goes in circles. appears lost

You have a locked wheel switch that needs to be cleared. You will need to remove the top of your roomba and find which wheel switch is clogged and clear it.

Sounds like either the battery is bad or not being charged properly with subsequent loss of programming.

Circles

Do you have it set on "spot"? This causes Roomba to start out in circles, expanding and expanding until a certain time and then returns by going in circles, making smaller circles, until it gets to its starting point.
