SOURCE: my zoom 505 2 distortion pedal for my guitar will

I have had this same problem with mine, since the adapter jack is loose it's probably broken loose from the circuit board inside. I had to carefully dis-assemble and re-solder the adapter jack back to the circuit board. This is un-fortunately a weak point on some of Zoom's pedals, when you or if you get someone who is good at soldering to do it for you ask them to beef the solder joints up a little to help keep it from coming loose again. I re-did mine and I've never had another problem with it.

Hammond sk1 foot switch is set to toggle Leslie effect between fast and slow. How do I change it to act as damper sustain pedal or other function such as glide?

Thre is a sustain pedal jack next to the foot switch jack. The pedals used are different. The foot switch is a latching switch, the sustain pedal is a momentary.

Pedals stopped working.

If electronic trace the cable back to make sure connection is secure. Sometimes there is a button that turns sustain off, check control panel to make sure it is switched on. If piano is acoustic take off front panel beneath pedal board to make sure wooden rod is still connected.

Hey my Pyle pro heavy metal distortion peddle isn't working. Everythings fine until I switch to distortion, than no sound comes from my amp. Any suggestions?

Check the switch to see if it is functional with an ohm meter. Also check length of plug and make sure it engages the jack securely as there are about 5 different lengths of 1/4 inch jack available. Are the effects powered by battery or through the amp, or on thier own power?

It seems to have no power the led light doesn't come on. its brand new, but I havent used it in about five years

Are you using battery or AC adapter for power?
Most pedals won't allow you to use both. Check that there is no battery installed if you're going to plug it in. If you are using a battery, Some pedals won't light an LED on battery power.
If problem persists, your pedal may be DOA

My pedal is not sustaining - it is plugged in at the pedal outlet, not sure what else to look for?

The first question is has it ever worked? If this is new, the connector of the pedals is a mini DIN type which is REAL hard to get seated properly. Often something blocks it from seating fully. Remove the plug and with a bright light inspect the pins... they are EASILY broken off. Aligning the connector carefully and making sure it seats is important. This piano also has a foot under the pedals to screw down against the floor but that isn't wht cause the pedals to not work.

I have the Boss RC-50 Loopstation. It has been great. Perfect operation for about 8 months. Today, when I started to use it, I noticed that I couldn't select "Phrase 1" by tapping the pedal....

Likely the switch contacts for that pedal have failed. You will probably have to get it repaired. Stomping on the pedals is a good way to damage them, but the switches are often marginally designed anyway...

If you can access the switch you could try getting some CRC226 available at Home Depot in the electrical department into the switch, but often the internal parts of switches fail.

When i press the harmony effect i have to hold it

Well i hope the latching mechanism isn't busted!

Check/review your parameter settings for your programs. Especially in the Expression Pedal Control areas.

From their site:

--Harmony Footswitch
This footswitch turns the harmonies on or off. While multiple harmonies can be selected within a preset, the HARMONY footswitch activates or deactivates any selected harmonies simultaneously.
When the LED above the HARMONY footswitch is illuminated, the harmonies are on. When the LED is turned off, the harmonies are turned off.

--Note: The settings for FX Footswitch Control, Harmony Footswitch Control and Guitar Sensitivity apply to ALL presets. The setting for the Expression Pedal Control applies to the current preset only. If you modify the Expression Pedal setting and wish to store it you must Store the preset (see page 11 ). When you load another preset, its setting for Expression Pedal Control will take effect.

--To perform a Factory Reset procedure
If you are editing a preset, press the Up or Down footswitch to exit edit mode.
Press and hold the Major/Minor button and then press and release the Store button. The display will read FAC RESET- WILL ERASE ALL YOUR PRESETS... , then STORE=RST.
Press the Store button again to continue with the factory reset. If you don’t want to do the factory reset, just wait 5 seconds, or press almost any other button, to cancel.

Edirol Midi Keyboard Controller PC-50 Many notes no longer sounding. Can't get into keyboard to check contacts

Well, you have to get into the keyboard. There will be screws or latches that hold the case together.

SOMETIMES screws are hidden beneath stuck on rubber feet.

SOMETIMES plastic latches are where there are slots... have to be careful as they can break if you don't open them right.

WORST are latches along the sides that you have to pry open... knowing where they are is key.

You will probably find that the keys consist of conductive rubber "pills" that are in silicone rubber domes that the keys press against finger-like circuit traces on a board under the keys.

Clean BOTH the pills and the traces with 99% isoprophyl alcohol and a Q-tip.

Boss noise reduction pedal stopped working for no reason at all. worked fine the day before, went to use today no power at all. it is run from an adaptor so its not the battery, any clue?

The power jack on MANY of the pedals are weak and a yank sideways can damage the jack or the board it is mounted on.

ANOOTHER problem is using an adapter with the wrong size plug. SOME plugs have a larger diameter hole and will work intermittenly.

Boss digital delay pedal DD-3 won't stay on

I have seen a somewhat similar problem before. A switching diode had become faulty and needed replacement. I have no way of telling you where to look but if you have a volt ohm meter you can test them individually without removing them. The diode you are looking for would be in the circuit which connects to the switch. Use your probes to get a reading in one direction(one probe on each end of the diode) and then a reading with the probes reversed. If the readings are close or infinite in both directions you will want to unsolder the diode (making careful note of its orientation) and test it again. If the readings are still the same or close you will need to replace the diode. I forgot to mention to use the 2000 ohms resistance scale or the diode test function if you have one. Hope this helps.
