The Vizio TV uses your Wi-Fi network to connect to the Internet. Read the user guide, and go through the Menu options, search for "Network" and enter the network ID and password with the remote's keyboard.

SOURCE: Denon receiver AVR-3300: Unstable source selection

Very important you have run system set up menu it configures your receiver with inputs analog or digital, speaker size, input, room correction etc Different input modes can be selected for the different input sources.
The selected input modes for the separate input sources are stored in
the memory.
q AUTO (auto mode)
In this mode, the types of signals being input to the digital and
analog input jacks for the selected input source are detected and
the program in the AVR-3300’s surround decoder is selected
automatically upon playback. This mode can be selected for all
input sources other than PHONO, MD/TAPE and TUNER.
The presence or absence of digital signals is detected, the signals
input to the digital input jacks are identified and decoding and
playback are performed automatically in DTS, Dolby Digital or PCM
(2 channel stereo) format. If no digital signal is being input, the
analog input jacks are selected.
w PCM (exclusive PCM signal playback mode)
Decoding and playback are only performed when PCM signals are
being input.
e DTS (exclusive DTS signal playback mode)
Decoding and playback are only performed when DTS signals are
being input.
r ANALOG (exclusive analog audio signal playback mode)
The signals input to the analog input jacks are decoded and played.
t EXT. IN (external decoder input jack selection mode)
The signals being input to the external decoder input jacks are
played without passing through the surround circuitry Your remote is searching for inputs because you did not properly run system set up!!! Here is a link to your manual [PDF] AVR-3300/1 3.3E*

SOURCE: Problem with Vizio SV421XVT

I am also having the same symptoms for my SV421XVT. TV works great except all HDMI ports are not receiving signal. Devices work through the AV Ports, and TV reception is fine. New Roku box is also not working through HDMI but works with AV. Wish I had a solution to this.

On a another forum for another TV it was suggested that boards need to be replaced. I hope I can get these boards for a reasonable cost.

Vizio d50u-d1 TV no sound and blue screen I've replaced all the boards and still the same thing I've done all the tests

If you have replaced all the boards in your Vizio D50u-D1 TV and you are still experiencing no sound and a blue screen, it's possible that the issue lies with a different component or a configuration setting. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Check the audio settings: Go into the TV's menu and verify that the audio settings are correctly configured. Make sure the volume is not muted and that the audio output is set to the appropriate option (e.g., internal speakers or external audio system).
2. Check the input source: Ensure that the correct input source is selected on the TV. Sometimes, selecting the wrong input can result in a blue screen and no sound. Use the remote or buttons on the TV to cycle through the available inputs.
3. Test with different sources: Connect different devices (such as a DVD player or game console) to the TV using different cables. This will help determine if the issue is specific to one particular source or cable.
4. Perform a factory reset: Resetting the TV to its factory settings can sometimes resolve software-related issues. Refer to the user manual or Vizio's support website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
5. Update firmware: Check if there are any available firmware updates for your TV model on Vizio's official website. Updating the firmware can potentially fix bugs or compatibility issues that may be causing the problem.
6. Contact customer support: If you have exhausted all the troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, it's recommended to contact Vizio's customer support or seek assistance from a qualified technician. They may be able to provide further guidance or arrange for a repair if necessary.
Remember to exercise caution when working with electronic devices and consider seeking professional help if you are not comfortable performing the troubleshooting steps yourself.

My vizio tv has sound but no picture and already did the flashlight test

If your Vizio TV has sound but no picture, and you have already done the flashlight test, it may indicate that your TV's backlight or power supply is malfunctioning. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the cables: Make sure that all cables are properly connected between the TV and any devices you are using, such as a cable box or DVD player.
  2. Check the input source: Ensure that the TV is set to the correct input source that the device is connected to. You can cycle through the input sources using the input button on your TV remote.
  3. Power cycle the TV: Turn off your TV and unplug it from the power outlet for at least 1 minute, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This can sometimes resolve issues related to the TV's power supply.
  4. Reset the TV: Try resetting the TV to its default settings. You can find this option in the TV's menu settings.
  5. Contact support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may indicate a hardware problem with the TV's backlight or power supply. In this case, you should contact Vizio support or a qualified technician for further assistance.

Blue screen Vizio how to take it off

My Vizio Has a Blue Screen But Doesn't Shut Off Troubleshooting your Vizio TV requires that you first identify the source of the problem. A blue screen on your Vizio TV can indicate that you are experiencing a problem with the video input on your TV, while the failure to turn off may indicate that there is a problem with overcharged internal memory or your power capacitors in your TV.

Finding the cause of your Vizio's problems can involve trial and error.
credit: Jupiterimages/Polka Dot/Getty images
Check Your Connections The connections leading to and from your Vizio TV may be responsible for your Vizio TV having a blue screen and failing to power down. Tighten the coaxial connections to your TV and firmly press in any HDMI, component or composite video cables connecting to your TV, then check the signal on your TV to see if the blue screen problem resolves itself.

Discharge Your TV's Memory Overcharged internal memory can lock up your Vizio TV and prevent it from changing channels or turning off. To discharge your TV, unplug your TV and press and hold the "Power" button for 30 seconds. Plug the TV back into the electrical outlet after 30 seconds and check to see if the problem persists.
Change Input
The input source connected to your TV may be malfunctioning and preventing your Vizio TV from powering off. The "Input" button on your remote will allow you to select a new input source. Cycle through input sources until you find one that displays an image on your screen and power the TV off. If this method works, you may need to replace the input source preventing your TV from turning on.

Power-Cycle Your Equipment Power-cycling your equipment can solve errors created by devices or with your TV's power supply. To power-cycle your equipment, unplug your TV from the electrical outlet along with any devices connected to your TV. Plug your TV back in and turn it on. Plug in each device, one at a time, and notice if your TV displays a blue screen or has trouble turning off. Repeat this process for each device connected to your TV and replace any devices causing problems with your TV.

Trying to hook up my Vizio vbr334 to my Vizio tv I keep getting a no signal why

The television is probably set to a different input source than your device is connected to. Try setting the input to something different. The names of the inputs are usually written on them (molded into the plastic).

How do you get the picture in picture to work? What two sources can you use, a cable box and what?

The Picture in Picture (PIP) on VIZIO televisions works on multiple input sources. This means you have to have signal or a device connected to more than one input on the television and have both inputs selected to display the information going to them. Here is an example. Let's say you have an HD cable box connected to your television and you would like to have more than one channel displayed on the screen in order to keep an eye on both football games at the same time. With one device connected that's not going to work out the way our TV functions. What you want to do is get a coaxial splitter and two extra coaxial cables; these can be found anywhere home theater equipment is sold. Then follow these steps.

1. Turn off both your cable box and television.

2. Take the coaxial cable that comes OUT from the wall and connects to the IN of your cable box and disconnect it.

3. Connect that cable to the IN on your coaxial splitter.

4. Connect your two extra coaxial cables to the OUTs on your coaxial splitter. We will call them cable 1 and Cable 2, just because.

5. Connect cable 1 directly to the DTV/TV input on your television.

6. Connect Cable 2 directly to the IN on your cable box, this will be the same connection you removed it from in step #2. Your HD cable box should still be connected to your television with either an HDMI cable or Component cables (Identified by their Green, Red, Blue colors for video and Red and White cables for audio.)

7. Power on both the cable box and your television. Using the INPUT button on your VIZIO remote select the input connection where your cable box is located your cable box picture should come up on the Main screen.

8. Press the PIP button on your VIZIO remote to bring up the small box in the corner. Press the PIP input button until you select the TV input and you should be ready to go. You may need to perform a channel scan with your TV tuner to locate all available channels before you do this step. In order to understand better how to perform a channel scan please check under the F.A.Q.s in the discussion area of your particular model television.

In order to change channels in the small screen use the PIP CH - and + buttons located near the bottom of the remote. You can swap picture in the Main and Sub screens using the swap button and swap which screen will sound off its audio by using the AUDIO button. You might notice an X next to some of the selections in the INPUT and PIP INPUT screens when you have PIP activated. That means that input selection is unavailable and cannot be used. For example, if you have the input TV selected on your main screen then if you press the PIP INPUT button and bring up that input menu you will see X's next to the TV and AV selections. The X's mean that when you have TV on the main screen you won't be able to use TV or AV on the small screen. Instead you would need to use any of the input selections that do not have an X attached to them.

Tv won't switch to "tv"

Your T.V. is programmed to store the last input you've selected. You have to manually switch it back to your T.V. channel input after each time you switch it to HDMI or any other input even when you turn it off. The "Source" or "Input" button on your original T.V. remote will change this.

Component video signal between KLH DVD8350 & Vizio 32" PlasmaHDTV

If the Visio TV has more than one input, don't forget to use its remote to make sure the correct input is selected. It probably wouldn't hurt to put a DVD into the player, confirm its running from the front panel counters) and let it keep running as you troubleshoot. At least then you'll know there is an active video source once you find it. Another thing you can try is to put in a music CD, if the player accepts these too (most do). Then when you get the TV set to the right input, at least you'll hear music, and can then go back to trying a DVD.

I know you're using component video, so remember that unlike HDMI devices, the TV is unable to switch to the correct source automatically. So it may just be that you've never had to switch the TV's input source before. Good luck! :-)
