SOURCE: I need the controler for the SantaLand Musical Train Set

New Bright offers ONLY a 60 day replacement warranty after which there are no parts or service avaialble for this train set.

I would contact New Bright about a replacement or take it back to the store where you bought and select something other than New Bright products.

SOURCE: Holiday Express Train Set

We struggled with this just today...finally figured out that you have to twist the small piece right behind the bell on the top of the locomotive.

Testimonial: "Thank you! Now... how do you keep it on the track? :O)"

SOURCE: an electricalroblem with Holiday Express train

This train set is very particular and getting it to work each Christmas is a family tradition in frustration. First you must make sure that all the pieces of track are connected properly and that the track is perfectly symmetrical and flat. We double-check the battery positions every year and find one in wrong. There are + and - signs, but they're hard to see; use a flashlight. There is a black toggle switch below and behind the red stack that toggles forward (to make the train go forward) and backwards (reverse); straight out perpendicular to the train is the "stop" position. Also, you have to start at a stop/switch station. One other note: behind the red stack, there is a smaller black stack. If you turn this, you can make smoke come out of the stack. I think I remember someone suggesting a drop of cooking oil. Hope this helps!!! Hope you get it set up for Christmas!!!

SOURCE: No power to track and/or train. Power to Holiday Express Train

Power enters through the tender. You must have the tender and the engine both on tracks and linked with electric cable.

I have a Telco Santa express train that won't go into spin or take off mode

It is a vintage item and not much known about it.

Most repairs can be undertaken at a local model shop. If they don't do it, they will know someone that does.

New bright greatland holiday express train

Check the connection from the transformer to the track, and that all the track is well connected. Make sure nothing is touching both tracks, shorting them out.

Lemax village express adapter

Lemax Item #74706
Lemax does sell 4.5V @1000ma adapters. They are usually in the accessory section with the light sets. It will supply power for up to 3 devices. Notice this adapter is rated at 1000ma. The adapter that was included in the set was only 700ma. That just means that the replacement adapter can handle a larger current draw, IE. the train and a couple 4.5v accessories.
It works. I am using one now.
P.S. Walmart has these adapters..

Hi having trouble with our new bright musical holiday station electric animated train set...very frustrating as one of the train tracks broke off a little part so no matter what my husband tries to do the...

Yes, additional track is available from several places, such as Hobbylinc.com, and TowerHobbies.com. At this time, just after Christmas, they are out of stock, however. Walthers.com has them in stock (1-4-2011). You can find extra track on sale on eBay, as well. Be sure to get the track with the brass covers, as New Bright sells battery powered trains that use bare plastic track, which will not work with the 384. A Google search will turn up more sources.

No power to track and/or train. Power to Holiday Express Train

Check the power circuit that goes to the track if there is an open circuit, open circuit means, break or cut line that can not flow the current going to the track to give a power to the train, ok.

Make sure you the wheels on the cars are actually rolling and not sliding (being drug down the track) Most of the animation is down mechanically as the set moves.
