Is there a reset button any where on the unit? Try unplugging it for a few minutes and retry. Any power failures lately while unit plugged in?

SOURCE: Polar F6

Hello,

It sounds like most of you have the heart rate set to display in % of max heart rate. Most Polar products have the option of heart rate in BPM(beats per minute) or percentage of max.

If you look at the display during the exercise, you will see a % icon. You can turn it off in by hitting the back button and go down to HR view settings.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Garmin 305 Heart Rate Function Gone

I Have had the same problem couple of times (and forgotten each time how I solved it). I figured it out just now and this is what I did.

1) turn on unit and put on heart monitor (make sure battery is good and wet heart strap)
2) using the mode button navigate the menus to: Settings: General: Accessories: Heart Rate Monitor
3) Once in the Heart Rate Monitor option make sure "Yes" is selected and then use the arrow buttons to highlight "Restart Scan" . Press the enter button to rescan for your heart monitor. (I had to rescan twice)
Go back to the main monitor screen to see if you are recieving heart rate signals.

I am not sure why a manual rescan needs to be done every time but it would be nice if Garmin fixed this issues in a unit software update (my unit has software version 2.80)

SOURCE: Inaccurate Measurements of heart rate

Replace the battery. Then make sure that it is placed on the proper artery that it is supposed to be on. If your heart rate was 210 you would be in the hospital with a heart attack. And also the only person I know with a heart rate of 90 when running is Lance Armstrong. Your heart rate should be about 120 to 135 and it will just around in those areas but should never go higher

Why does my treadclimber TC20 display panel light up, but machine won't start

Generally that would indicate that the safety key is not in place, or a problem with the safety key magnet causing the machine to think the safety key is not in place. A call to Bowflex customer service should take care of it if that doesn't resolve it.

When does your heart work the hardest

Work is often defined as how much volume or weight is carried, for how far in a given period of time. Examples: Move 1000 Lbs 10 feet in 10 minutes, Now move it 20 feet in 10 min - you've done twice the work. Or, 2000 lbs 10 feet in 10 minutes = twice the work. 1000 lbs, 10 feet in 5 minutes = twice the work.

So, a good measure for a heart would be how much blood is pumped in a period of time. The amount of blood in each beat doesn't really change, this distance is always the same, so how often it happens is a pretty good indicator. Simplified, you could say that the heart does the most work when it beats the fastest. Run for 130 beats per minute is 4 times the work of say, sleeping at 30 beats in a minute. Anything that raises yur heart rate to the highest would be the most work.

My treadclimber is in sleep mode how do I fix this ?

Make sure machine is plugged into a known working outlet, and make sure the power switch is turned on. Then make sure the yellow safety key is in place. At this point you should only have to press start to use the machine.

Treadclimber centering

Dear Sir:
ecalibrate the machine if speed is not registering, belts stop turning or the display readout shows an "err, LS, OS" on the face. Calibrate the TreadClimber by plugging it in. Stand on the foot platforms, or floor mat. Do not stand on the walking belt. Insert the safety key. Press the "start" key when "CAL/PRSS/STRT" shows on the readout. If readout fails to show the "CAL/PRSS/STRT" symbol, turn off machine and turn it back on. Press "ENTER" and then "DOWN SPEED" at the same time until "CAL/PRSS/STRT" shows up on the display. Belts will start and stop during the calibration; do not be alarmed. Do not make any adjustments or interrupt the display of numbers as the unit goes through the calibrations. When the machine is finished calibrating, the readout will display "CAL...PASS" and you can press the "POWER" key to get out of the calibration section.

sincerely. God bless you.

Try to recalibrate your machine. You need to use the safety key to do this. Use the owner's manual for the steps needed to follow to do this. It might work.
