Have you cut the power to it for 15 min? That should clear the codes may not take 15 min. but it can't hurt.

SOURCE: water inlet valve Kenmore dishwasher

Okay handy Mike,

First of all, is this a new dishwasher? Or, is it a used one? The reason I ask is because there should be a warranty with a new appliance and you should not have to worry, or have to pay for, any repairs.

The problem you are experiencing could very well be a water inlet valve problem (good assessment), but may also be something more simple. The dishwasher has a float inside the tub that is supposed to shut the water off, when it reaches the appropriate fill level. Check the float to make sure it moves up and down and that you can hear the switch "clicking". Sometimes small items get stuck under the float and will keep in the up (or shut off position).

For some helpful part locator drawings refer to searspartsdirect.com and type in your model number. An illustration of the water inlet valve can be found under the "Frame" heading in the next page as item number 24 (part number 154195301). The float and float switch can be found under the "Tub" heading as items number 13 (part number 154144301) and 24 (part number 5300809863), respectively.

If you require further assistance, please let me know. I hope its something simple and you don't require parts. But, if you do, you know where you can get them. If you do not wish to order on line, use the part numbers provided and go to your nearest appliance parts retailer. I hope this helps you. Good Luck.

SOURCE: E2 error in smeg dishwasher

e2 is overfill or flooded base.
take the bottom front panel off and see if there is water in it and if so, mop it out. if it reoccurs, then you have a leak.
you will see a float device in the front approx middle and this is what actuates e2. if fault is intermittant, try putting a small weight on this - a washer for example.
if e2 is being caused by overfill and not a flooded base, then the water intake moulding needs replacing

SOURCE: LG Dishwasher LDS5811ST 1E error code

I had a LG certified repairman come out and fix. The electrical wires within the door were melted into the "tar" (sound deafening spray) and one wire actualy sheered. Apparently the drying cycle heats the tar and the wires become embeded and melt into the tar. This is what was causing the error code. After the wire was tested and spliced everything worked great. Long term...The door/electrical harness was replaced by LG.

SOURCE: i have an lg dishwasher mod#LDF7811ST, get error codeIE, changed the inlet valve, machine worked once then got IE error code again. Any suggestions?

If you are getting a IE or similar error on your LG dishwasher and have not been able to solve the problem using information based on that code, check the serial number of the dishwasher. If the first three numbers are between 501 and 702 you may have this problem:

The black mastic sound insulation material inside the dishwasher door can soften from the heat inside the dishwasher, allowing the wires inside the door to become embedded in it. If this has happened, the insulation on the wires can soften and begin to dissolve, resulting in shorted or broken wires. This may cause various error codes which may send you on a wild goose chase.

Take the screws out of the door and inspect the black insulation and the wires. If any wires are embedded in the black mastic, you may cut them and bypass them with a new section of wire, then make sure to add an insulating material to separate the wires from contacting the black mastic. In severe cases, the inner door panel must be replaced (they no longer use that type of mastic) and the wiring harness for the dishwasher would also be replaced. (a set of all the wires and plugs).

My LG top load washing machines WF -T8019TC show an error code E2

The E2 error code on an LG washing machine usually indicates a problem with the water supply. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the water supply: Make sure that the water supply to the washing machine is turned on and the water pressure is adequate. If there is a problem with the water supply, fix it and try running the machine again.
  2. Check the water inlet valve: The water inlet valve is responsible for controlling the water flow into the washing machine. If the valve is faulty, it can cause the E2 error code. To check the valve, unplug the machine and turn off the water supply. Remove the hoses from the valve and check if there is any debris or damage. If the valve is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
  3. Check the water level sensor: The water level sensor is responsible for detecting the water level in the washing machine. If it is faulty, it can cause the E2 error code. To check the sensor, unplug the machine and locate the water level sensor. Check for any damage or debris and clean it. If the sensor is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact a professional for further assistance.

Our Hisense H12DBL Dishwasher shows error code E2 (water inlet malfunction). I've rigged the door switch to let the machine run with door open... On any program the machine drains then let's water in but...

How fast it fills with water is the issue. Check the water pressure, check for a filter screen on the fill valve and clean it, check the voltage on the fill valve electric coil, if it is low then the valve might not be opening all the way.

I have a samsung dishwasher with E2 code appearing, i have cleaned the filter at the base under the spray arm but the error code is still showing. what else can l do?

The E2 error code on your dishwasher is a water supply error.

So, the water is most likely not coming into the machine, is that correct? If so, then first check that the water supply is on and that the supply is not weak or pressure to the water valve of the dishwasher is not below 25 PSI.

If the supply is off or weak that would need to be fixed first. If the supply is not off and pressure is good, then next make sure the water supply hose is not kinked or clogged in any manner. If the hose is not kinked or blocked in any way and yet no water is entering the machine, you will need to make sure that there is full voltage to the water valve in time of a fill cycle. There should be 110 volts when the machine should be filling up to the water valve. If you don't have 110 volts then the computer is bad and needs to be replaced.

If there is 110 volts but still no water then you need to replace the water valve.

E2 error code on Bush dishwasher, how do i fix it?

It is a water inlet malfunction, is the flow valve to the pipe turned off or is there a coil/loop or a bent part of the water pipe that fills it? Or is the pipe to long which causes movement when filling which alters the water rate that upsets the sensor?

It will be one of these options which will quickly resolve the issue, I do hope this helps.....
