    thanks a lot, had this very issue and was a bit worried when i saw some other posts on back lit bulbs being burned out but this was the solution so cheers

LCD panels are backlit, usually with 2 bulbs, one on each side. For some reason, the bulb on the right is not lighting. It's either burned out or power is not getting to it.

You might be able to disassemble it and follow the electricity, probably less than 30V DC. Check what the left side is getting and look for it on the right. Just need a cheap mulitmeter and a screwdriver.

If you get half of the screen darker, remember that LCd monitor have 2 neon lamp at each extremity of the LCD, when one goes out you get this problem. it is possible to replace the LCD neon lamp, I did it many time, but you need to tear all the monitor appart and be carefull not to break any glass while doing so.

Hello,

The most common cause of power loss on the W1952TQ is a failure of the filter capacitors on the power supply board. This is the same board used in several of the LG monitors including the W2252. You can repair the monitor by replacing the capacitors on the board. Here is a link to a repair kit with the correct capacitors to rebuild the power board.

I have an lg monitor flatron w2453v, right now it works great but the screen is split, what i mean is half of it is good the other side is a hint darker, how do i fix this?
Hi, Usually what it means when a screen is darker on one side than the other is that the " backlight " has becom weak. You can try turning the overall " Brightness " down and this may lessen the problem a little. In my opinion that's what should be causing the problem. Good luck, I hope this helps, Prodzilla.

Lg flatron w1952tq goes into power saving mode on boot computer works fine on other monitor. Running Kubuntu linux.
your LG monitor is bad then if you put another monitor on the computer and your getting video. Just as a last resort, you might want to put the LG monitor on another computer and if it stays in sleep mode then you know for sure at that point, the monitor is bad.

It is a W2271TC flatscreen, about two weeks old. Suddenly, one half of the screen (vertically) is slightly darker than the other half.

HELP PLEASE LG Flatron w1952tq with blue line
If you just bought it and only used it one day, I would take it back for a replacement. Sure, you could fix it but if something went wrong on day one I'd be wary. Besdies, it would save you the hassle.
