How can I repair the Braun series 7 shaver head? A small plastic piece fell off.

I have Braun series 7 shaver. While cleaning the head, a small plastic piece that was holding one of the shaver parts fell off. I tried putting in back in place with a tweezer but it is so small that it keeps slipping away. Is there a better way to repair this?

SOURCE: My needle broke and a piece of metal fell out of machine

Totally happened to me last week. I discovered that the metal piece that fell off and holds the needle has a small screw that holds it in place. It needs an Allen wrench (tiny one) to tighten it back into place. I just lucked into figuring it out.

SOURCE: Replacing Heads for 8140XL Norelco shaver

Same thing happened to my father's shaver. After working on it for about 30 mins, this is how I fixed it. You need to start with the top silver piece/cover. Turn it over so you see inside of it. Drop the 3 screens into the holes upside down (so they face out). You need to rotate the screens until they sit as low as possible. Now drop in the 3 blades, again sharp side down. There should be a triangular piece with 3 circles attached to it. One side is gray, and the other side has a black triangular piece. If you look closely each leg of the black piece has a tiny picture of a lock and an arrow. Rotate the black piece in the opposite direction of the arrow. Place the gray side down lining it up with the three blades. Now rotate the black piece, it will lock into position, and hold the blades in place! Finally, the silver head has a little hinge on one side. This hinge is flexiable. Bend it to a 90 degree angle, and slip it into the notch on the top part of the main body of the shaver. Close the head part, in my father's shaver I had to press a lever in the front to snap it into place.

Hope this helps!

My Braun Series 7 shaver drops out shavings rather than catching them in the shaver head. How do I fix this?

I have used one of these for over 10 years, and never had it leak shavings unless I am shaving the top of my head after shaving my face. You say you regularly use the cleaning station. It needs cleaning of shavings after every use. I remove the head and tap the shaver and head over the sink after every shave. About every two weeks, I rinse the foil and clean the cutter and shaver top with an old toothbrush and soapy water and leave it to dry.

Fix Model 3105 also Model 3612

The small plastic piece falls out when cleaning the head. It goes back in the left side of the removable piece. Hold it with the screen closest to your body and upside down. The small piece fits in the upper left with the square edge to the left in the small recess. It just sort of snaps in.
Mine is actually the 3612 cordless but they look identical from the photo. I have been trying to fix it for 6 months. When a new head had the same problem with the piece falling out, I decided it might be repairable. After I pushed the piece back in, it stayed. You can tell where it goes by looking at the taken apart shaver (With the head removed for cleaning). The shaver has a plastic pin sticking up on the left side. This pin is what lowers the trimmer when the shaver is assembled.
Hope it works for you.

Problem with shaver

are you talking about springs under the center cutter bar between the foils? If so, you will need a new foil and cutter set. It is available at shaveroutlet.com with link below

Or maybe you refer to a spring that goes to one of the clips that hold the foil assembly to the pivoting swivel frame. If so, you will need the part linked below

I just need to know where I can get new batteries for my braun syncro 7505. The batteries don't have any markings telling the volts or milliamps. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with...

Yes, these are NiMH AA 1.2V flat top batteries. Replacements can be found on some battery websites (like onlybatteries.com). I'd get the 2200mAh rated ones, as they'll hold a longer charge than the 1650mAh ones. You will need two of them (the shaver has a 2.4V motor). This works for most Braun shaver models from 6000 to 8000.

The razor head comes loose from the two arms.

The one piece motor drive which also contains the shaver head in the Braun wear out. They can be replaced by yourself or a shaver tech. A good place for parts, http://shaveroutlet.com/.

To disassemble the 7000 Series Braun shaver.

Disassembly of the 7000 Braun shaver is basically the same as the 8000 series Braun shaver listed below. The 7000 is actually easier to disassemble as the plastic is much thicker and the bottom socket cover pops right off as there are less tabs and they are bigger.

To disassemble the 8000 Braun Series shaver.

Remove the plastic cover on the bottom that covers the corded socket. Be careful, there are a total of two tabs on the short sides and four very small tabs on the long sides. I usedmy fingernail to create a space big enough to insert the corner of a credit card in the center of the long side opposite the blue light indicator, then gently removed the cover. Using a screwdriver could damage the plastic.

The two sides then pop off, they only fit on their respective side when replacing. Don't lose the two small black seals on the top of each side piece.

There are a total of four screws holding the body together. Remove the screws, using the proper flat blade or torx screwdriver. The shaver will then split into. You can then remove the the Motor Drive Unit and the separate circuit board with the batteries.

This would also be a good time to clean the goo buildup from around the shaver head.

Assembly is the reverse of above. The Motor Unit will only fit in one way, there is a flat side and a angular side. Be sure the pin for the trimmer is placed in its proper hole, or it won't extend.

Braun 8585 maintenance

Look at the bottom of the shaver where the AC cord plugs in. Carefully pry the small black piece of plastic out of the base. Once you have this out, the two chrome side pieces will fall off, and you can split the shaver in half to expose its inner workings.

I have the same problem with my Braun 7570 as the Jan.8, 2008 writer about the 7526 or 7680 shaver. The blue button came off but the shaver still works

This button wears out or just fails with time, but is replaceable.
