It most likely needs shock absorbers replaced. You can go online for your make and model washer. To see how to replace them . It is an easy job and the parts are not very expensive.you can find the parts online also.

Model # and brand would be helpful. It’s most likely the suspension rods that need replacing

Maytag washing machine walks across floor during spin cycle

Did you set the back feet before leveling? On most units to set and lock the back feet you need to pull the top towards you so that the back is raised off the floor, then set it down again, this will release the feet and lock then down. The you level the two front feet. After this is done you must make sure your load is balanced. Distribute the items as evenly as you can in the tub. Once it gets to the spin cycle if its walking or shaking a lot, stop it and redistribute the items more evenly in the tub. Also try not to overload the unit or combining many heavy items with few light ones. If this is a new machine, did you remove the shipping locks from the back before using it? They have plastic strips attached to them, make sure they have all been removed, as well as any shipping bolts.

Washer moves during spin cycle

If this is a newly installed washing machine have you taken out the four big bolts on the back of the machine? It holds the drum to prevent it from moving during transportation when it was delivered. if machine runs during fast spin it will make the machine vibrate heavily causing it to move

How do i better support my washing machine to make the floor sturdy

Every washing machine has crew type legs on each corner, if it teaters from corner to corner it is not properly leveled. you need to adjust the legs up and down until the machine is level and does not teater from corner to corner, like rock solid..when you put in a load of lawndry that is lop sided, the machine has a tendency to dance around the floor during the spin cycle, to stop this open the lid and re-adjust the lawndry evenly then close the lid and it should quit dancing around the floor.

Now if your floor is too weak, you need to get under the house and put in somemore beams to support the weight of the machine....

Good luck....

During the spin cycle, the machine shakes violently and dances across the floor. It has a loud squealing noise during this. My Performa is only about 14 months old. This is very disappointing for a Maytag.

Look in owners manual. I think these washers have a 1/2 hp. variable speed motor. make sure the washer is level from front to back and side to side, if its not that could be the problem. The motor has a lot of force, the squealing could be a bad bearing not sure.

Maytag LAT2500AAE- unbalanced

see if it has 4 adjustable feet on each corner on the bottom
get a bubble level from a hardware store and turn the feet to raise or lower OR you could use something else to raise the sides until it is leveled by looking at the bubble level.

hope this helps

Washing Machine Dance

Cars, does the basket lean to one side? There might be a couple of issues. The coupler that seats between the motor and trans could be wollowed out causing vibration. Another is that one of the balance springs came off or broke. I'm going to attach a photo of the springs so you can see what this looks like. You can remove the whole cabinet to check things out or tip the washer back and take a look.
