SOURCE: Water & Ice do not dispense. Maytag ICE2o

Possibly the water valve (also known as a solenoid valve) on the back of of your refeer has gone ka-put. It is easy to find and spot. The water line from your source (out of the wall) goes to this valve. If it is not operating, you will get no water supply thru that line into your dispenser or your ice-maker unit. No water in means no water and no ice out. This is a pretty simple fix you can do yourself. The part is reasonably priced. Get the model number of your refrigerator off the door and contact your local distributor for your brand. Make sure you turn your water off at the wall, or house, before you start taking that plumbing line apart. Otherwise, get yourself a surfboard and lay in a good supply of paper towels. Take your time and unplug your unit from the wall to be on the safe side...

SOURCE: Ice and Water not dispensing. Light button not working

INSIDE THE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY IS A SEPARATE ELECTRONIC BOARD THAT CONTROLS THE DISPENSER.
OCCASIONALLY, THE DOOR SOLENOID OR THE CUBE ICE SOLENOID WILL SHORT OUT CAUSING A BURNOUT OF THE DISPENSER CONTROL BOARD. CHECK FOR A BURNT SMELL COMING FROM THE DISPENSER HOUSING. IF YOU SMELL IT, THE BOARD AND/OR SOLENOID NEED TO BE REPLACED.

There's no ice If your ice maker has stopped producing ice completely, check these, in this order:

  • It may be turned off. Look for the wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If the wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. If so, try one of these:

    • If your ice maker has a small red plastic lever, lower it to lower the wire.

    • If there's no plastic lever, simply lower the wire.

In either case, the ice maker should begin producing ice again. Also make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.

  • The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts! Also replace the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, if necessary.

  • The ice maker head assembly may have broken parts. Look to see if the gears are broken. Check to see if the small plastic arms that rest against the ice rake are broken. If the ice maker head assembly is modular and you've found broken parts, you can just replace it.

Small or too few ice cubes If the ice maker is producing ice poorly--making small cubes or too few cubes--you probably have a clogged water line, a defective water-inlet valve, or a defective ice maker mold thermostat that isn't cycling properly. Check these:

  • The water line that's attached to the back of the refrigerator. Make sure you have good water flow. If the flow is poor, repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water.

  • The water-inlet valve. Replace it if it has failed.

  • Check the freezer temperature. If should be 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.

  • The ice maker mold thermostat. Make sure that it's cycling properly.

Specks in the cubes If you find black or gray specks in your ice cubes, have a look at the ice cube tray. If the protective coating is peeling away, the most economical solution is to completely replace the ice maker.

SOURCE: whirlpool refrigerator ice dispenser no longer workds

Ok, I show parts that are available for that model, sounds like the control board is defective for your dispenser, or possibly the Ice maker control board. It also could be a break in the wiring or the control itself. Below is a break down for those parts, wiring and the control behind the push to dispense ice or water. Hope it is not that control because some places don't provide that part. Now if it's a connection problem that we can find, I will do mu best to help you solve this.Could you insure the model number is correct as this is very important? [email protected]

SOURCE: Have Model #MF12266AES Maytag. The

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Frigidaire GLRSF266J side by side makes ice, but dispenser won't work, what can I do?

The part that holds the switch in the dispenser door may have allowed the paddle to no longer contact the switch correctly. Look for a discolored wire connector under the hinge cover on the freezer door. If it looks all in order the water solenoid located where the water line attaches to the fridge may be bad.

Water/ice dispenser stopped working all lights out

Hi Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!

I understand you are experiencing an issue with the water/ice dispenser of your Frigidaire refrigerator. May I have your model number please? You can normally locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) inside the cabinet, on the right side wall. Also, Can you remember any error codes or any odd functions prior to this issue? Thank you and I look forward to further assisting you.

Flashing #4 on temperature display

flashing #4 is a communication error between the control board and the damper assy, usually it is the fault ogf the damper assy but if it is under mfg warranty, replace both, if you need to pay for the parts yourself get the damper first.

Water dispenser not working & fridge and freezer not getting cold

okay, most likely, your problem is your fan motor, its making your evaporator becoming a block of ice freezing your water lines but its not circulating the cold air through your refrigerator. remove the panel from inside the freezer and see if it has become a big white block of ice and the fan motor is turning. some fan motors will not work with the door open so you must manually press the light switch and see if the fan is blowing air.
if fan blades are not turning, replace the fan motor. but if it is blowing air and there's a big block of ice, unplug your fridge and let it thaw out. if after melting your fridge is running again, there's something wrong with your defrost system. that means check and replace your defrost heating element, defrost thermostat and or defrost timer.
i hope that helps with your problem. good luck!

Water and ice not dispensing on Frigidaire side by side

We have a similar fridge were told that it has a resivoir inside that needs to fill with water before it will start to dispense water. Had to stand holding in the actuator for quite a while befrore it started putting out any water. Shoud be the same with the ice maker, but there is an arm inside the freezer that controls how much ice you get it could be turned off.
