Trisensor Climate Control on model JFC2089HEP does not adjust My Jenn-Air French Door Refrigerator is 3 1/2 years old. The Temperature has been set at 0 and 38 on the control since day one. Recently I tried to reset the temperature and found that the controls appear to be locked, but, not per the book. Nothing on the control works. The 0 and the 38 degrees light is lit as well as the small LED bulb for the Door Alarm and the Temp Alarm. I have unplugged the electrical feed for 30 minutes, but nothing changed. The unit is still working, but I would like to ajust the temps

SOURCE: Temperature Control

call the number in your service manual. they'll ask you to sent the receipr, the silver sticker on the back of the fridge, and a piece of the outlet cord so they know it's not in use. they'll ship you a new fridge. WOW!

SOURCE: Temperature Control not working on LG fridge

It is an error code. The thermal fuse in the freezer section has gone. It has to be replaced. To get by in the short term, uplug the unit for 15 minutes, then plug it back in. It will run until it hits the defrost again (approx 5 hours) Part location is 401A and part number is 6615JB2005C. It is easy to change once you get the back cover off. Plug in part.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite bottom freezer refridgerator

I just went through this with my refridgerator and actually posted one of the questions. Here is what I found ........

In the freezer compartment behind the panel there is an evaporator fan which pulls cold air from the freezer and pushes it up into the refrridgerator compartment. If the fan is not working it is one of three things.. 1) there is so much frost in the fan area the fan blade is stopped and cannot push the cold air into the refridgerator compartment or the air channel is blocked. 2) there is no electricity going to the fan (usually tied to the door switch of the refirdgerator compartment, and 3) the motor is dead and will have to be replaced.

Solution to #1 - defrost but there is another problem in the "frost-free" part of the system which must be addressed or the frost will return and it will happen again in the future.

Solution #2 - check to see there is power to the fan. (most are 110VAC but some are 100VDC. Use a meter and check)

Solution #3 - If there is power, the motor is dead. Replace the motor. Be aware that AC and DC motors are different and replace per manufacture's specifications.

SOURCE: Climate control display for Outside temperature

Had the same problem, replaced the ambient air temp sensor in front of the radiator. Cost is like 10-15 bucks. Don't worry if temp doesn't change right away. Took me about 5 miles and then it worked great.

SOURCE: Temperature and adjust refrigerator panel does not work.

problems exist in its electronic control panel that is damaged, this problem should be solved by replacing one block electronic circuit in the control panel. damage is usually caused by a memory of the troubled program. actually if you know you can fix the electronic control panel of the electronic circuit itself, simply replace the IC EEPROM or memory alone. follows with Cristal oscilator usually must be replaced too

Can't adjust trisensor climate control. Stuck at 0 and 38 and is freezing things in fridge compartment.

It's a Jenn-Air, you will need a service call. They are totally electronic and very complex. Look in the manual first as there may be a child lock function on the controls. It sounds like a thermister has failed though which is a temperature control device. It shouldn't freeze at 38'F, 6' above freezing.

The icemaker appears not to be producing ice! what should i do? it is the French Door JFC2290VEP4, purchased just a few months ago. Freezer temp set at 6

Try to adjust the freezer temperature to a more colder level to see if it will produce an ice and to check also if the problem is within the temperature control.

Can't change temperature

If the freezer is staying cold it sounds like a defrost system problem. A bad timer, heater or thermostat can cause frost to build up on the coils and block air flow to the refrig side. Check out ACMEHowTo.com for troubleshooting the defroster problem

I have a major dent in the right door of my french door Jenn air fridge what is the cost of a new door.Model JFC2089H Stainless.

Depending on the part supplier the door will run about $400.00 to 700.00, I know that is really high!

One option you may have is to call around to service companies that work on Jenn Air, they may be able to look out for a door that they are replacing for someone that only has a small dent or scratch, and rather than scrap the old one, recycle it with you.

Not sure if that is an option but worth a shot

Loose freezer door handle

There is a "set screw" on the underside of the posts that connect the handle to the mounting posts on the face of the door of my Jenn-Air bottom freezer. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the set crew, which is very small (my Jenn-Air requires a 3/32" Allen wrench), and then tighten the bolt on the mounting post on the face of the freezer door. Position the handle over the post, then tighten the set screws with the Allen wrench. Cynthia

Jenn-Air JFC2089H Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator. One month ago the water tap stopped working then I noticied that the top doors to refrigerator would not reliably close like they used to. Last...

The water could have been frozen in the door and melted when your fridge warmed up.

The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.
