Kenwood kdcx794 i can’t adjust volume stations this happened after a cold morning with the cd in

Hello, according to the information I have, the Kenwood KT-56 tuner is just that. This means in order to have volume control you will need an amplifier. The KT-56 only allows changing of the stations, pre setting stations and may be a couple of more options. But it is only a tuner or simply put a display, now you need to put power behind it to make it put out sound.

unplug the battery see if that helps.

Sounds like you need to send it in for service.

Page 67 describes adjusting the NAV volume.
Under AV interface - NAV VOICE VOLUME - make your adjustment - it will remember the preset every time.

Touch AV Interface from the SETUP MENU screen (page 60)

You are looking for option 13. NAV VOICE VOLUME.

does it keep cutting in and out?
if so i think you have your polarities crossed
make sure you have negative to negative positive to positive

It could be a bad connection on the ribbon cable that connects the drop down face with the rest of the radio.

The amp may be damage.

it needs a new ribbon cable. Some car audio repair shops stock these (mine does). Part is about $20-30. Labor will depend on the shop.

I once had the same problem and took it in to have it looked at! The guy simply pushed in the small black button to the left of the ATT button and it reset!
