SOURCE: reset older analog tv

Hi,

Without the original remote, sorry none. You could try pressing on any of the buttons or a combination while plugging in the unit but that is no guarantee it will reset (fully). With your indulgence, I took the liberty of checking your other posts here and here. It would seem that your original concern is that although the TV would appear to be switching to the lower channels (Ch 2-6), the TV programs on those channels would not be displayed. If yes, then I am inclined to think that there is a hardware fault internal to the TV. This would be the tuner block. The reset, even if successful, would not correct this error.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: Sony bravia v series 32"

hi,
IT normally happens after factory reset is done. You need to reprogram the channels. Try the auto program (AUTO TUNING) Process.

  1. On your remote commander " Press HOME or MENU button"
  2. Scroll down to " SETTINGS or SET-UP"
  3. Then to "CHANNEL SET-UP"
  4. Select " AUTO PROGRAM " To Auto program your LCD TV and it's done..

SOURCE: Can I reset my factory

Hard to do without a remote. The remote for just about any Sony TV will work. Look on ebay, also do a web search for replacement remotes, lots of places sell them.

I've got a 2010 sony bravia KDL-55HX800 and was wondering if I could factory reset it without the remote.

Try this:

Press and hold the Power button on the TV (not on the remote), and then (while holding the button down) plug the AC power cord back in. Continue to hold the button down until the white LED light appears. It will take approximately 10-30 seconds for the LED light to turn white.

How do I reset my tv without remote control?

Without the remote control, you can not do a factory reset; Can only of the hard reset. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it to reset system [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the website linked here. I can't turn off the demo mode on my sony bravia tv

Press Menu on tv remote, go to Settings and select Factory Reset and press enter button on remote, tv will reset to factory default settings and turn Off and On again itself, now select HOME mode instead of Shop mode to avoid demo mode and go by initial setup screen instructions.
Above are generic info about Sony bravia tv, let me know model number of your tv if you do not see factory reset option in settings menu.
Thanks.

Initial setup on Bravia 26" won't come up

Try resetting the TV to the original factory settings. After resetting the TV to the original factory settings, you can get the initial setup screen to select Antenna. Make sure that the cable from the Antenna is connected to the TV.

Follow the steps given below to reset the TV to the original factory settings:

(i) Turn ON the TV.
(ii) While holding down the Up arrow button on the Remote control supplied with the TV, press the Power button on the TV set. The TV will turn itself off then back ON again.
(iii)Next, release the Up arrow.

How to do a complete factory reset of a Sony Bravia KDL-32P3000

Just talked with Sony Support today.

It seems that Sony in Denmark had sent out new software updates (over DVB-T) but also some wrong TV's got updated as well. This caused my DVB-T tuner to not function anymore so I wanted to try a factory reset and it fixed my problem.

So I was instructed on how to do this. I have a Sony Bravia KDL-32P3000 (which should be similar to the U3000 and S3000 as well).

This is how to do a factory reset of your Sony Bravia KDL-32 P/U/S-3000 TV.

PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE SERVICE MENU, YOU CAN EASILY CAUSE YOUR TV TO MAL-FUNCTION!!!! IF YOU FOLLOW THIS GUIDE IT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Set your TV in standy (use the green power butten on your remote), RED standby LED is ON on your TV.

Now press these buttons in this order on your remote (pointing to the TV).
i+
5
VOL UP (+)
GREEN POWER button

NOW BE CAREFUL! Dont press any keys just for the fun of it!!! IT MAY DESTROY YOUR TV.
You should now be in the service menu. It will show up as some green letter/numbers spread over the screen (mine are a bit hard to see/a bit faded). In the upper right corner you should have 2 letters TT (two t's).

Now carefully press key 0 and then key 8 on your remote (they should be shown on the screen after the two TT).

Now wait a little while (more than 10 seconds) and your TV should reset with factory settings, just as if you had just brought it home from the TV store.

Best wishes,
Mads
