SOURCE: nailer drives one nail but driver pin doesn,t

Remove the air hose and open the nailer head section. Look for a foreign object in this are that could be jamming the drive pin. Also, make sure you are using the right size nails.

SOURCE: Firing Pin doesn't return

The piston is returned to its firing position by air from the trigger valve after the piston has fired. It relys on the piston sealing against the bumper at the bottom of its stroke, if the bumper was damaged when the driver shattered or it was put in upside down the piston will not return. Also the piston uses air fed into the return chamber from the little holes in the cylinder, if the seal over these holes is damaged the piston may not return. Basically change the bumper and the check seal on the cylinder.

SOURCE: paslode framing nailer when fired pin stays out wont retract

Check the anvil guide for damage first (ie: burrs, nicks, etc.) Then go to the chamber for the return spring. That is where your problems are.

How do you fix a stuck firing pin on a dealt siding nailer

Not sure what model of gun you have. If it is a dcn690/692 undo the 2 allen screws above th nose and the allen screw near the battery. The magazine will then come away and you can clear the jam. Note there may be paper bunched up under the nose or the top of the magazine, this is the paper collation off of the nail strips tis could help cause a jam.

Why doesn't the trigger do anything on my NS289000 framing nailer?

Nailer not firing is caused by lack of lubrication in the headvalve (lube with white grease) or driver stuck/bent (make sure driver moves freely) or safety foot not depressing the firing pin on the trigger valve all the way in. Easy to check. Remove the trigger to expose the firing pin. With no nails in gun, connect air and depress the firing pin with finger all the way in. If the gun fires, adjust the safety foot. If the gun does not fire, lube headvalve and check driver piston stuck. Good luck

Bostitch F28ww nail gun does not cycle. There is no air leak or any sound when I press the nose down and pull the trigger. It is like it has no air at all. I was using it, it fired 2 nails at the same...

It sounds like your drive pin is jammed in the barrel. Can you see that moving freely? One of the two nails it fired may have lost a piece and is jammed in the barrel between the drive pin and barrel.
If this is the problem, You'll need to take a sturdy "drift pin punch" and hammer to drive the drive pin back down into the nailer. (I use an old drive pin from a discarded nailer as a drift pin punch)
Once the piston and drive pin are free again, the nailer should work fine.

Framing nailer won't fire nails

Usually safety foot is not making full contact to trigger mech. First test trigger valve. Remove nails, remove the trigger to expose the trigger firing pin. Connect air and test fire by pushing in the firing pin with your finger (dry fire onto wood or old coiled rubber hose, use very quick pushing action against trigger pin). If the gun works, replace parts and adjust the safety foot so that the lever below the trigger is pushed all the way up and lever depresses the trigger pin all the way in. Good luck

My braid nailer will not fire. I can hear air when I pull trigger but it will not fire, almost like it has a brad jamed in it but do not see one?

Most likely stuck driver or headvalve. Easy fix. Remove the head, pull out the driver and check for bent shaft, if ok, lube and reinstall. Next remove the valve within the head, lube and reinstall. Replace parts as meeded. Retest. If it still does not fire, could be that the safety foot is not pushing the firing pin all the way up into the valve. Easy to check. Remove the nails, remove the trigger to expose the firing valve pin. Dry fire the gun by quickly depressing the valve pin with finger. If it fires, adjust safety foot as needed. The gun got jamned I unjamned the nails but the fireing pin is stuck in the out position

If the firing pin is stuck in the out position, simply take a nail punch or something like it and tap it back in. Oil the gun afterwords.

Paslode cordless framing nailer will not fire..new cartrige, good battery, makes air ramp up sound, seems pretty clean inside.

The driving pin could be bent... likely problem is dirty cylinder or bad rings on the drive piston. try a good cleaning before taking it into service.

Dewalt dc618 nailer is not firing

I have both the DC616 and 618 and have used them sucessfully for about three years. Two main things go wrong. There is a drive belt that breaks (drives the spool that give the energy to drive in the nails), second are two small rubber bands on either side of the drive head that break. The bands can be accessed by taking off the front silver cover, the drive belt is access by spliting the case. Make sure you are using the correct nails or the drive pin may become bent and will jamb repeatedly. Hope that helps!
