Atf6000es Replaced door lock took out the motor and spins freely no drag, checking brushes and relay next. However before it stopped spinning i heard a loud pop. where would that pop noise come from?

Also with all the testing i now have standing water in the washer. how do i drain it without laying the hose down on the ground?

SOURCE: Door Lock Clicks/Makes noises Washer does not agitate/spin

Sounds like very worn motor brushes to me, as its trying to turn the drum but has'nt the power needed to maintain any momentum, and the blinking door light is because of the bad cotact from brushes to motor.About £20 for a set of brushes or get an engineer to fit new brushes, but get a price first.

SOURCE: whirlpool super capacity Lsq9549lw0 has trouble spinning on its own.

If the washer does fine thru the agitation cycle (the washing), that means the motor is OK and the coupler is OK.  It would not agitate unless both are OK.  (and don't listen if anyone tells you the lid switch is bad -- machine would not fill & go thru wash cyle). The spin is another matter.  There is a separate tube for spinning the basket.  There is a drive  block at top of the tube (that sometimes fails)  and there is a separate cluch mechanism below, under the tub.  Those places is where you should look.

SOURCE: Fisher Paykel GWL10US Washer won't spin

It looks like it has to be the control module.
You need to replace it .
It will cost you around $200 .

Look at my issue on "eco smart won't drain, smells hot". You could have same issue and your motor just hasn't burned up yet.

SOURCE: buzzing - will not spin or drain water

This noise is probably the pump trying to start but will most likely be obstructed.Drain the machine manually by lowering the drain hose into a bucket or bowl and then remove blockage.

What how to do diagnostics on a frididaire front loader atf6000es

Have you checked the drive belt and the motor brushes? Also check if there is voltage getting to the motor. Does then drum fill with water, and carry out the wash cycle fully but without the drum moving? If so it is likely to be either the motor, brushes, belt or relay pcb

ATF6000ES frigidaire will not spin all the time only sometimes

Mine would only spin on the fast final cycle. Wouldn't spin during any of the agitate cycles. I replaced the motor, the speed controller and the main control unit. Nothing fixed the problem. Btw, the door lock worked properly. Had to replace the washer. Sorry, I know this doesn't help.

After about 5 minutes the unit stops working. No sound or even a fan noise. I just cleaned the filter to see if that helps, but it didn't.

Is the fan running and stopping before the unit completely quits?
If the fan quits the compressor won't run very long.
I would start with the fan motor or capacitor.
Shut the power off to the unit, spin the blower wheel to see if it spins freely. If it doesn't spin freely, (there appears to be a little drag when you spin it),the bearings are bad, if it does spin freely, then try moving the motor shaft from side to side if there’s any play in the shaft side to side then the bearings are worn and motor needs replaced. Then, check the capacitor, if it’s bulging even slightly, the capacitor is bad and needs replaced. Most of the time people replace the capacitor if motor seems ok. If capacitor is ok, turn power on to see if the motor is getting the proper voltage, if it is and not trying to run, then the windings are probably open, the motor's bad and needs replaced.

Front loader will not spin

The problem is the door latch assembly. You can get it at your local parts supplier or oder it through repairclinic.com. Should cost $50-$55. My hubby is replacing mine now. Not an easy part to replace, but by all information I have gathered from the manufacturer and the parts department, this is a common problem and most likely the cause of the machine not spinning. It runs through all the rest of the cycles, but will not spin, even on spin only cycle. The good news... if you replace the door latch assembly once, the replacement part is much stronger than the original and shouldn't have to be replaced again.
