I tried the unplug - hold down the play button for 5 seconds - then power back on. It worked once for 5 minutes. Then no power at all. I replaced the boards. Still just clicking. At one point the power came on. I unplugged the unit and finished putting the rest of the screws in and putting things back together. Then plugged back in. Clicking again. No power.
These problems are the most difficult to repair. They are called intermittent. Check for the lid switch and also check the wire harness from the base of the machine and throughout the top control panel. Washing machines move a lot when the run and this causes wires to break. Some of those can break under the insulation and you cannot see the break.
Any error codes?
No. I can't get the display to come on.
Do you have power at the power block inside the top of the unit? Kinda sounds like a broken wire in the power cord.

Solution #2 Above about unplugging overnight is the only way I found to cure this problem.
SOURCE: Constant clicking every half-second as soon as you plug it in.
I have the same problem-still troubleshooting...so far still not find the cause. DM1 power supply output voltages are operates correctly. Signal output of microprocessor up and down (no good) that turn on Q14105 and latch optical isolator U14102 to power the unit but both of ohmed out ok. it hard to troubleshoot the main board with power on.

You either have a cold solder joint in your horizontal deflection circuits or your or in your horizontal output circuit. please be careful due to the fly-back transformer still holds power even unplugged until you discharge it.( ground it out). Hope this helps.

Yes based on your testing it appears that the power supply is at fault solely and you can opt to attempt a repair or replace it altogether. Unfortunately you will not be certain that the main board does not also need to be replaced until you have repaired the power supply.
