Could be a couple things - a spring (there are four of them ) that the drum hangs from could be broken or has come off the mount. Another issue may be the arm that holds the inner drum - it may have corroded and become unstable - we can usually detect this by opening the drain below the drum and empty it into a Tupperware - examine the water and look for small black fragments - they will be hard like metal and about the size of a grain of sand or larger. These are magnesium particles from the arm that supports the inner drum - unfortunately the inner drum would have to be changed if that is the case

SOURCE: Loud banging during kneading

Usually with products like this, one gear will be a plastic instead of metal which under too much stress will shear. Basically to narrow down the problem, you will need to open up the machine and find the part that is worn down considerably and then we can get you to the manufacturer or another retailer that can get you the replacement part

SOURCE: loud banging noise when machine goes into spin mode. sounds like it is banging on the side. Please help !

Usually this is an out-of-balance condition caused by too much weight on one side of the tub, move the clothes around and try again.

SOURCE: loud banging

Several possibilities for noise. check concrete balance wieghts at top and bottom of washer, make sure they are not loose.
Check drum restraint spring(s) are not broken.
Check suspension legs for wear.
Check for loose motor fixings.
Finally, remove drum belt, and spin drum by hand, tjhere should be noise from bearings, if it feels rough or is rumbling , then main bearings have failed.

There is a loud bang when coming out of the the wash cycle and starting rinse cycle

check the springs and shock absorbers. It might be the shock absorber (also called a damper I think) has broken or is too loose.

After 23 years of good service the drum has fallen off at one side. Is it worth fixing or buy a new one?

HAS SHOCK ABSORBERS WHEN THEY GO BAD ONE SIDE CAN LEAN ALSO CHECK FOR BAD OR LOOSE BALANCE WEIGHT. LOCATED NEAR THE MOTOR.

All front-load washing machines have shock absorbers that are used to dampen the tub movement in the spin cycle. The shock absorbers or struts are attached to the base frame and to the outer tub and you will need to remove the front panel or the rear panel to access them. When shock absorbers weaken or become damaged, the machine will often make a loud banging sound during the spin cycle and if the symptom is not corrected, can lead to damage of other components. Inspect the shocks for signs of broken attachments, leaked fluids or a weakened dampening action and replace both shocks if worn. Remove power from the appliance before attempting this repair.

WBVH6240FWW loud bang

that would be the bearing and housing gone on the drum, if you can lift the drum with your fingers at the bottom of the drum in the door hatch even by putting lifting inside then the bearing has gone. the plastic is the drum.housing usually were the bearing housing is. if there is a lot of movement then the bearing has gone. usually the front bearing but you will need to remove the drum and separated the drum to remove the drum then the bearing, rust on clothing is the bearing as its the only part in the drum that is metal.

My machine was banging loud in te spin cycle and now it fills with water but won't spin or agitate the motor is not coming on

Hello, the machine is not balanced on the floor well.... the 4 stands on which the machine rests have adjustable screws... You will need to fasten or loosen the nuts that will adjust the height of the legs on which the machine rests.... all the 4 legs need to be firmly on the floor .... If one is too high then the machine rocks on its side...

If NO.. only sometimes...
You are overloading the machine with heavy clothes... distribute your wash clothes by weight...

Thanks
