It's a ViewSonic VA700, and although it looks just fine minus a couple colored pixels, after I've used it for a while, it starts flickering, like it'll be normal one second and then suddenly the contrast will flash so bright that it'll be nearly white, and it'll just rapidly flicker back and forth between this. It gets worse the longer I use it. Is there a way to fix it? Could it have something to do with the power, or overheating, or a pin on the VGA connector? If removing a pin will fix it, I'm fine with that, even if it ends up being one of the color pins because I have a second monitor as well and I will probably just throw this monitor away soon if I can't find a solution.
The problem is seems to be in power supply section. it may be need to repair by electronic technician, after using any monitor 5 to10 years there may be power section or lcd panel may be damage.

mdumaran, You will not fix this problem. Here are your alternatives going from high to low in cost. 1. Trade in for NEW! 2. Check with compaq about a refurbished unit of same model. This will be cash+your old unit and they send you a Refurbished one. 3. Contract local tech to do the work. 4. You repair unit with information you get by viewing video clips at YOUTUBE dealing with "LCD monitor disassembly" and LCD monitor repair" Research #4 first!!! Then you will understand 1,2,3 above! The longer video cilps are very helpful indeed. Then, if need be get back to fixya for some additional help and info. I'mlouie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel@aol Please rate this response if you found it to be informative. Bye for now from just north of Windy City.

Hi!
Its actually normal. That normally happens to some monitor models at the 6500K setting. Try a higher one.
I hope this helps.

david78910, First disconnect and reconnect the monitors VGA plug from pc vga port a few times to make sure of good connection at the port. Report back here with results! If that doesn't fix your "pink screen" symptom, then possible bad inverter supply inside unit or the CCFL tubes may have lots and lots of "on" hours use on them and need to be replaced. Yes, you could also have bad (almost dead) switch-mode-power-supply inside unit if "known-good" monitor works perfectly with your pc. 12fixlouie
