How to make the phone ring longer

It is possible the phone will only ring for the duration of the installed ringtone. Try creating a longer ringtone on your computer from any PD music, then copying that across to your phone and selecting it as the ringtone, see if that helps.

How do you change the sms ringtone on a flip 8220? I've tried to go to profiles clicked advance and it does not show my ringtone nor will it let me click edit to change anything to do with my sms...

Hi christine75466 when you go to the profiles hit the black blackberry key and not the ball. The ball goes back to your main menu. Hit the blackberry key and the it should give you a list of options scroll down to the sms on the menu and then hit the ball it should give you an expended version for the alerts. If your still having issues with this you can go on blackberry site and see step by step on how to do this process. Or if you have some time go into a corporate verizon store they can show how to do this very quickly. hope this help.

Ringtone, i set it as, won't work for sms

Try this.
Go to PROFILES.
Select ADVANCED.
Select (ie) NORMAL.
Scroll to SMS TEXT and depress the pearl ball.
Select OUT OF HOLSTER and set to TONE.
Select RING TONE and select the tone you want.
Select VOLUME and set to your preference.
You might want to do the same for IN HOLSTER.
Good Luck! ~ :)

My lg shine flip

Could you try and download limewire (google it) or something

find what song you'd like to use as your ringtone, and then transfer it to your phone using the cable that came with your LG?

On my phone it can only store so much and then it needs to use a minidisk.

Another way is to go on the internet using your phone and download songs...maybe there's some free ones that are available.

hope this helps.
