The code is actually ER IF not 1f. It means "error icemaker fan" and is typical on LG bottom freezer refrigerators and the problem is that the icemaker fan has stopped running. It could be caused by having the freezer compartment overpacked and the drawer is not always closing or it could be a mechanical issue.
When you open the freezer drawer, if you see frost on the outside of your food, typically more prevalent on one side or the other, then the drawer is probably not closing. If there is no frost then it may have just froze over and will need to be defrosted.
There are a lot of models that have a revised back wall which added a heater to avoid this issue and might be covered by LG. You did not give a model number, age, or if this is the first time it has happened.
Unplugging the unit will clear the code but it will come right back if it is not resolved which locks you out of the controls, dispenser, ect.
You can try defrosting the unit. Move your food and unplug it with the doors open for 24 hours. Make sure it is dry inside and the doors/freezer drawer is closing properly. This should solve the issue just make sure not to overpack the freezer. You can also contact LG to see if there is a service flash on this model as this is not a new issue and many do have revisions to fix ongoing problems.

The service manual with the codes is available at:
LG LFX25960 Service
Manual
"ER IF" show a problem with the ice maker fan motor.
SOURCE: ER 1F
It is ER IF and indicates that the ice maker fan is not working. The fan is probably frozen. If you can remove the fan duct and housing at the back of the freezer you may be able to defrost the ice in the fan enclosure. The fan may have frozen because of hight humidity or because the defrost cycle is not working.
SOURCE: My Kenmore Elite 79577563600 is showing Er 1F.
This is an error code for the icemaker fan motor.
If the control does not see a signal coming back from the fan motor you will get this error code.
Please see the image below from the service manual that explains the ER IF error code.

The ER IF code indicates a failure of the icing fan.
You may notice slower ice production but the other fans should be okay.
You can select the ultra ice option and see if the fan toggles on.
The fan or the control is bad.

I hate to just paste a link to the answer but this answer is quite thorough:

If you have frost build up in the freezer compartment it can impede operation of the fan. Frost build up is usually a secondary symptom of an automatic defrost system problem. i.e it is not defrosting... due to a failure of one of the following:
-defrost heater
-defrost thermostat
-defrost control
Hold the door light switch depressed and see if the light goes out and that the fan is running.
If the fan has failed the part number is around $60.00 usually. There are AC and DC fans in this unit.
