After pressing correction key i could not type again .no ink is there .

During correction the lift-off tape is raised. Please check that it goes down and does not interfere with the printing ribbon.
Removing and reinstalling both is probably the best way.

I have an Olympia Standard elec typwriter. Does anyone know where I could find someone (NE London for pref) who could correctly install one of my replacement cartridges and correcting tapes. As it is,...

I think the reason why the tape is no longer rising up is due to the failure of the orange cog at the bottom of the carriage (just under the printer ribbon). This stops the carriage rising.

Can you inspect the cog and check it is intact? Also look at the bottom of the typewriter inside an look for sheared off organge teeth

Let me know if it's that issue and I might be able to give you a solution

The correction feature is not working correctly. It attempts to lift the incorrect the symbol/letter, but fails. There seems to be plenty of correction tape and the ribbon seems to be on correctly ......

Be sure that the ribbon and L/O are fresh. If so be sure the L/o is installed with the dull side toward the paper and be sure the ribbons are correctable. (YELLOW OR ORANGE KNOB)

I have an Olympia Electronic Compact. When I turn it on, it just beeps very fast. Nothing works? I love this typewriter, please help!!!!

I have the same typewriter. If I remember correctly, beeping very fast means there is a problem with the printer wheel. You might try (with the typewriter off) pulling back the wheel, reinserting the wheel, and turning on the typewriter. If that doesn't work, get another wheel (they're cheap online if you buy a Swintec wheel rather than an Olympia wheel - same goes for ribbons). The only other thing I can think is that the ribbon is out, needs reinserted, or there is no correction tape in the machine. But I think it has something to do with a broken or misplaced wheel.

Typewriter change correction tape

I just finished replacing mine..You must first remove the ribbon for the typing, this simply lifts off. Then you must place the side with the corrective tape on the left side and the empty end on the right. While doing so, make sure that the ribbon of corrective tape is being placed around the knobs( one on each side) to hold in place. Then feed through and wind up till all the orange has disappeared then replace the Typing ribbon and this should complete the replacement
