Hi darrell801, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?

Are you sure it is an Epson TM-L90? Also, where do you think the dip switches are supposed to be?

Hi Robert, I am certain that it is an TM-L90. The service manual shows that they are under front cover on right side under little rubber removeable thing.

In the manual you can see the dip switches but when I remove my "Cap" it is empty.

When you are facing it. Open it and on the right hand side where Led lights located. Below it and inside are there is a dip switch cover that you should be able to remove. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: DIP switch positions

Found them finally Pete - this is the service manual for the printer; http://www.posguys.com/download/TML90_Peeler_TRG_RevB.pdf Check page 45 of the pdf (page2-21 of the manual) for the location of the switches, the next 2 pages for the settings a bit clearer than on my previous post. also probably worth a read through the rest, in case there are some other possible solutions - I couldn't find one but you might see something that sounds familiar. Hope this helps, still trying to find a user manual direct link, will post it if i find one :)

Unable to install Epson TM-U220B[U220 with UB-U02III usb interface] on Windows 7 AND XP!

Hi!

Are you using a third party USB adapter or a USB interface? On the self test page that you printed does it say USB connection or something that will say about USB? or does it say parallel or serial connection? try to check the dip switches setting if its configured properly. visit epsonexperts.com site for more info.

Auto cutter does not cut automatically

TM 220a and TM 220b should come with auto cutters
You have to unscrew the metal tab under the printer, you will find two sets of DIP switches. upper one is DWS 1 and the lower one is DWS 2. On DWS 2 you need to have jumper #2 ON. this enables or activates the auto cutter on printers. Good luck...

User Intervention required on Epson TM-U220PD

I had the same problem with the user intervention required status on the printer. I tries reinstalling it several times through the Epson Driver Utility but got the same message each time. I got it to work after making two change but do not know which one (if either) got it to work. First i uninstalled the printer driver through Add/Remove Programs and not through the Driver Utility. I also set Dip switch 1-1 to on which enables auto line feed with parallel interface, with other interfaces this switch changes other things.
