Help please! I own a JVC GR-D770u Mini-DV camcorder and recently had a message come up when I turn it on. It says" Unit in Safeguard Mode

This is a common failure with this generation of JVC. The E04 indicates a failed data communication form the head drum with the micro. It most frequently is resolved by solder rework of the drum fpc cable connector on the appropriate board. Not a job for an amateur. Good luck, magic seadog
