How do I change blade on my Bosch jig saw model#1587vs

It sounds like you are having difficulty tightening the blade on your Bosch 1587vs jigsaw. To resolve this issue, first unplug the tool and lift up on the knob and loosen the spindle lock. Then insert the blade and push up slightly while doing so and twist to align the blade with the roller. Make sure to turn past resistance until it clicks. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the "clic" assembly, part #2-602-025-901.

Turn the handle on the top counterclockwise like shown in the video.

This tool has no mechanism for the fixating ot the saw but only a short ***** part 53 its a fault in the manual , it simply replace the saw with a screwdriver. or simply the clamp ***** to release turn it loose and from the top you can replace the clamp *****

To change the Bosch B4300 blade - If the grey knob does not turn to release the broken blade, you need to use a LONG THIN flathead screwdriver down the center hole at the top. Unscrew until the broken blade is loose. Pull out. Replace the new blade and then screw the it tight through the same hole at the top. DONE.

Pull the black knob on the top front of the handle up and turn it clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen. I'd turn it counter clockwise at forst just to make sure it's loose enough to accept the blade when you start.

there should be a allen head bolt in a slot at the top of the blade. you loosen it and pull out blade , replace blade and tighten bolt back up. hope this helps. have a good day,

In most models at the blade shuck holder is a screw that thigh the blade,unscrew it and change your new balde .

I would recheck the installation of the blade and the tightness. If still a problem there is a spring under the lever that might have broke (they tend to do that) and is jamming the spindle. Let me know and I will help you with the breakdown for this tool
