My Dynex 40in TV won't come on. I don't have a remote. I would have to turn it on manually. Where is the power button?

bottom right side of screen, either on the very bottom or the back of the screen. should be a touch sensitive power button along with menu and volume controls

Brake lights dont work

Some bulbs have two filaments, one for regular running lights and the other brighter one for the brake lights and or turn signals. It's quite possible the bulbs are bad. The filament for the brake light gets more use and usually burns out first. If that not the problem check out the brake light switch which is located on the brake pedal bracket.

Our jacuzzi is almost regular tub and has tow metal buttons, one on the top/edge and the other near jet mouse at the middle level of bath tub. We have not used our jacuzzi for 10 months. Even we only use...

The metal button on the top of the tub is used to turn the tub on/off. the metal button you see in the middle of the tub above one of the jets is the low water sensor.
the water has to be above that metal tab, you have to be in the tub and then touch the metal button on the top of the tub to turn it on.
this system uses the electrical current from our bodies to complete the circuitry and turn it all on and off.

Leapster 2 wont work

You need to calibrate the touch screen - hold down the ? button and a menu will come up, go to 'touch/calibrate'-red dots will appear on the screen in the corners then in the middle and you have to touch the centre of them with the pen to line up the screen again - turn off and again and it should be fine - hope this helps xx

My tomtom one goes off by it self

Try touching the screen instead of the power button

If that brings up the display try the procedure below.

It can usually be fixed and tends to be just an option in the preferences menu

Touch a regular map display once

Now touch the Safety Preferences once

Press Done until you see the Turn Off Map Display

Select NEVER

Select DONE

Select DONE one last time to return to the map.

You didn't say how old it was and if it has a lot of use and is coming up to 2 years old it may need the battery replacing.

F1 Error on Maytag Electric Oven

Found something on the net that said it may be a heat sensor so I returned my new touch pad ($220) and put in my old one that was giving me the F1error. I bought a heat sensor ($55) and crossed my fingers. It WORKED! F1 was no longer flashing and the oven's back up and running.. so much for the error codes.. F1 = touch pad and F4 was supposed to be the sensor..

If you're fixing it yourself and think it may be the touch pad, I recommend going through SEARS. Even though the touch pad was an electrical part they still allowed me to return it hassle free and most companies wont accept returns if it wasn't installed by one of their service professionals. So I was more than happy to get the $220 back when it turned out to be the heat sensor. Only downfall is that I had to wait 2 weeks to get the part. Hope this helps anyone with the same error.

My dynex dx-pdvd7 is showing "no disc"

If there is no little circle eye near the center of the spindle-you are out of luck. If you can see the lens it may be just jammed. Simply, gently, slide the eye along the track back to the spindle. That usually fixes it.
