There is a 3 position switch on it- set it to hammer only which is all the way to the left going clockwise- if its set to hammer only and is still spinning then it has malfunctioned and it has no user serviceable parts.
if you did take it apart you could just ask for whatever help you needed or contact an expect directly for immediate help
good luck

SOURCE: Drill will rotate but will not hammer under load
most of these types of tools have a manual switch it will be located on the body of the drill just behind the chuck on top or bottom or oposit the grip handle. some models have 2 switches.you want to make sure the switch points to the picture that shows a hammer and drill together.also rember it needs to have down pressure for the hammer part to activate.
SOURCE: rotary hammer won't rotate, hammers very good
If tool hammers brushes still good. Motor runs hammer action.
Take hammer/ drill switch lever off by removing small plastic plug in center with small screw driver.remove indicator handle off by removing #8 torx screw and lightly pry off. There is a pin and spring that lock tool into hammer or drill.Check for broken spring or binding spring and pin.If binding , clean and grease.

if i'm confused i'm sorry, but don't confuse and impact driver with a hammer drill
2 different tools altogether
SOURCE: Disable TC4400 auto rotate
First in Control Panel -> Tablet and Pen Settings, select Display Tab, then click on Change button next to Sequence. I set 1 as Landscape - Primary, then 2-4 as None.
Second, Go to Control Panel -> HP Quick Launch Buttons -> select Preferences tab -> uncheck the checkbox that says, "Enable Automatic Mode Change"
This worked for me!
SOURCE: Will it go back and forth as well as rotate?
depends on the drill. give me the brand and model number and I will try and help. Some hammers have a selector on the side to go from hammer drill to hammer and then drill only. Let me know and I will try and help
