please restart both your printer and the source that you're printing from (ie computer) before trying to print again. Also, please attempt to use another flash drive to print to the printer as well. If possible, you can update the firmware of your printer to make sure that everything is updated on the machine.
You need to find where to enter the settings for an smtp server. (simple mail transport protocol) Most internet service providers allow clients to use their smtp server. For instance, for Shaw in Canada to smtp server is mail.shaw.ca. Some will require authentication in which case you will need to have a valid account with that provider.

The 2050 uses 2 network connections, one for the printer and one for the scanner.

Are you printing through the network connection or the USB/parallel port?
Are you trying to twain scan? Do you have the software CD for scanning.
