Nothing,if the dog is having problems see a vet,
Ask your vet.
An enlarged heart is a chronic heart condition. Try to gradually get your pet to a normal weight. Later congestive heart failure can be managed by your vet with prescription medication (s). Good luck. Routine light exercise can help, but the heart does not go back to normal size.
There are meds avail from ur vet but im not aware of any otc products

If your dog can walk and can go to the bathroom without aide, then enjoy him or her the rest of their lives. There is no reason to give a Vet 200 dollars, plus meds to just cause the dog more stress. Many times owners will go to great lengths trying to squeeze another several months out of the pets life, but I would suggest giving your dog great dosages of love at this stage of his life. He will die at home and not on a cold stainless steel table and I believe you owe him that much. It's probably not a popular answer, but I have raised GSP 43 years, and have never had a dog put down by a vet. Comfort them and believe it or not, dogs die naturally.
