Question about Kyocera Office Equipment & Supplies

My kyocera fs-1028mfp keep showing add toner and despite adding the toner the problem still persist. What can I do?

You must use OEM toner it will have kyocera logo on cartridge if you have not been using OEM toner you have to change developer or this problem will not stop

yyou have to be careful when doing this.
the waste toner is built in to the process unit (drum unit) and has a plug on the side.
remove the plug and tip it out.

SOURCE: Waste toner gets full before toner runs out

Actually, the waste toner should get full sometime before the regular toner runs out in laser printers that have several toner cartridges compared to the single waste toner reservoir.

You can dump the toner reservoir out and avoid buying the empty waste toner 'reservoir.'

I did this on my Brother Laser printer and saved about $30 or so for an empty plastic waste toner bottle or jar.

If this is the way the Kyocera-4020DN is, then I would put the waste toner, which is just that, waste, and put it into a plastic zip loc storage bag and throw it away. Don't breath the toner.

Can you use a Kyocera FK-170U fuser unit in place of a FK-150 fuser unit?

No the FK-170U fuser will not work in a printer that is compatible with the FK-150 fuser unit. I found a Kyocera FK-150 Fuser Unit available on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Kyocera-FK-150-302H493032-Kyocera/dp/B00GOO57M2 . Other sites have third-party replacements.

The FK-150 fuser is the correct fuser for the FS-1028MFP, FS-1128MFP, FS1350DN, among others. The FK-170U fits the following Kyocera printers: FS-1035 Mfp, FS-1135 Mfp, FS-1370DN and FS-1120D. There are a few other printers. The design changes means they can't be substituted.

empty drum unit its full of waste toner each side of drum unit has plastic covers that pop off empty out the unit thoroughly and vacuum inside
