I cant get the front panel off, it seems to be the front half of the machine, not a separate panel. I've undone the screws I can see but can't get the front off. Any help? am i missing something?

Check the top edge of the front panel, sometimes there's two clips, one on the left top and one on the right top of panel. undo the clips and it should come off. Or if there are no clips you might have to just lift up to clear a notched edge. Clips could also be on the bottom, Either way most machines have a second way of holding the panels or tops on. hope this helped.

SOURCE: How to replace the door bellows seal ?

did hte rear clamp come off or just the front spring. assuming its just front spring.carefully reinstall the boot over the front lip assy . easy enough!!here comes the fun!! the spring itself goes to the bottom of the rim.So hang the wire over the top of bellow and feed into the lip evenly as you go down both sides as soon as you get your hands to the 9oclock and 3 oclock positon I then change grip on the spring (use the tips of my fingers palms facing front assy and strech whole pushing down and in. I used to find small spring style clamps would work great for holding the wire in place till it would "pop" into place. a third hand is also very useful to hold in place .

SOURCE: How do I free the lower part of the front panel?

After wrestling with the front panel for awhile it finally came off. On the inside of the sides of the lower front panel are plastic extenders which fit into the groove openings on the lower part on the side of the metal housing. Thus the key is to pull from the side of the lower front panel away from the housing.

SOURCE: Can't open Admiral ADE7005AYW

Try sliding a thin putty knife rearward at each front corner of the top while lifting upward slightly. Shine a light into the joint and look for metal joining the two halves. Once the top is loose, look for screws in the inside front edges and lift up on the front panel to release. Make sure to pull the power plug while working in there.

Cant get front panel off washer to check mcu unit as suggested.

There should be 3 t20 tork screws at bottom of kick panel. You could also take the whole back panel off to get to the motor control unit, it is located in the back lower rh corner.

I've just taken the top off mine, unscrew the 2 screws at the back then push the front with the palms of your hands rearwards, it takes some doing and you may need to get your fingers underneath the lid at the back and just give it a good pull!!

How do I remove the cover of a delonghi ec270

Prise the back cover off with a flat head screw driver. Sides first, then ease top and bottom off. Remove two push in caps by gently squeezing out with a plier, align the groove to the same direction as plier. Locate two screws holding cover, unscrew, and off it comes.

My Aging GX CD1200 was recently sent in for repair but the repair shop was unable to get spares for the circuit board. I found, upon its return that they had actually fixed the problem. However, they...

As I mentioned in my somewhat lengthy problem description, I had undone - or rather thought I had - all of the screws holding the back of machine to the front. However, even though the large screw accessible from inside the batterry cover seemed to be turning freely, the bottom section of the machine would not separate. In desperation, I changed to a finer head on my philips screwdriver and pressed it in really hard. As soon as I turned it, the bottom of the machine began to move away from the front.
So the only problem was that the screw in question had not been loosened properly. Although the initial philips head had loosened all the other screws, on close examination, it seemed worn and the new head was obviously sharp enough to do the trick.

Is there a secret to getting the plastic cover to separate to adjust the belt for the Singer 7462?

These split cases are a right pain to put it mildly..........

Before we go further, you have got the handwheel in the sewing position, not for bobbin winding, haven't you ?!?!

OK, sorry, but it's like "turn the thing on at the wall guys"....often simple things are overlooked.

So here goes..

Although you may think you have undone all the screws, there are usually several that merely clamp a small lug, so a half turn to looses is all you need, not to undo completely, as they are not passing through a hole, merely a U shaped retaining lug attached to the casing.

They may be near the bobbin case/hook race area at the back of the machine, but undone from inside at the front.......around near the needle arm is another favourite spot to clamp front and rear sections.........some of these machines from various manufacturers have more than 12 retaining screws !!!!

There is also a tricky one that is a 2mm hex bolt (Allen Key) that is accessed through the air vent flutes under the handwheel near the power inlet !!

I hate them all, and I have service manuals (for Janome at least) to tell you where to look !!

Different makes and models have differing places to look.......design by committee to save manufacturing costs and keep technician stress at fever pitch.

The other loathesome thing, is to do with the small clips moulded to either side of the joint .....they seem designed to push together once only, in the factory before boxing and distribution........they are NOT friendly if anyone needs open it again to service the machine some time later and are easily broken off.

....a couple of small screwdrivers to lever and wedge an increasing section apart can work, but do not force anything that does not want to come easily, you may not have undone all those screws the first time............

My absolute best advice for these is to take it to a technician who has the service manual for your model or you will almost certainly have broken clips and an ill fitting case, plus the ensuing anguish and fury of the person whose machine you didn't fix.

By all means have a play at it, but if there is any danger of frustration and the temptation to force something, get up and put the kettle on immediately, then call for backup.
