SOURCE: Quasar VV-2001 TV/VCR combo - msg: Check Antenna Cable Connection

Check first the antenna using another TV. If there is no other TV available, check using an ohmeter. If you are 100% sure tha the antenna is ok then the antenna connector on your Tv is not making a good connection to the antenna plug.

SOURCE: tv not working

Can you confirm that you didn't have any input signal? My wife once accidentally pressed the reset button on the remote and the TV was stuck in this state. I tried to hook up an antenna to the digital antenna input and let the TV search for a channel. It did find a station and got out of the channel search mode, which was all I needed. Then, I unhook the antenna and continued to enjoy my DVD movie. I didn't check the manual. So, it's possible that there is a better solution. My TV was working fine and I think it just has a terrible user interface. I'm not sure about your TV's condition, though.

Remove subtitles from Dynex TV DX-19E220A12. Anyone know how to do this please? Thank you.

What is the TV source (input)? Usually the captions are only controlled by the TV if your source is Antenna/Cable (using the RG-59/RG-6 cable input). If your source is a set-top box (HDMI, component or composite video), consult the documentation for that source.

If your source is set to TV, press Menu (on the remote or the side of the TV). Use the Left/Right arrows (or the Channel buttons on the TV) to select Settings and press Enter (input button on the TV). Use the Up/Down (or the volume on the TV) arrows to select Closed Captions and press Enter. The highlighted menu item should be CC Mode. Use the Left/Right arrows to choose Off. Press Enter to save the setting. Then press Menu to change another setting or Exit to leave the on-screen menu. See page 31 of the user manual available from ManualsLib here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/445548/Dynex-Dx-19e220a12.html . The current link to the page is https://www.manualslib.com/manual/445548/Dynex-Dx-19e220a12.html?page=35#manual .

Some set-top boxes will have a caption control button on the remote control. Others have more difficult steps. On my IPTV box, I have to press Menu, select Settings, then enter a pass code provided by my provider. Then I enter the Hardware settings and find the closed captions menu under Audio Settings. On an old Dish receiver, the caption controls depended on the system mode. Since the receiver could serve a primary and secondary TV, captions could be viewed on the primary set or both. They could only be changed at the primary TV.

I hope this helps.

What channel should my Toshiba 32 in be on for cable

What channel? Do you have a cable box from a provider? If yes, then the HDMI output from the cable box will go to one of the numbered HDMI inputs of the tv. Use your tv remote to select the correct input (source button) and when you find the corresponding numbered HDMI input, your signal should be there. If you are not using a converter box and your signal comes in from your wall to your tv then you must go into the menu settings of the tv and select a channel search. Usually an "automatic search" will do .Click that and allow for all the channels to be scanned. You will be limited to how many channels the tv will allow. If you know the cable signal has channels 1-200 but your tv can only "detect" channels 1-165, then you will be short 35 channels. Only way to to get more is to get a converter box. The only time you should be choosing a channel (3 or 4) to view cable on the tv is if the cable signal is going through a vcr first and then to the tv

My dynex tv only shows channel not available message?

Okay- the three cables (red, white, and yellow) are called RCA plug connectors. They are commonly used to carry audio and video signals.
Plug them into your Xbox according to the color codes- red cable connector to the red socket (jacks); then white to white, and yellow to yellow.
Now connect these leads to the RCA input jacks in the back of your t.v. - maintaining the same color code connections (red to red; white to white, and yellow to yellow)
The RCA input jacks on your t.v. should be labeled with an input number, to distinguish itself from the other inputs, like HDMI, S-Video, and such.
After plugging in your Xbox to the wall outlet or surge strip, turn it on.
Turn your t.v. set on.
With the remote control that came with your t.v. set, open the menu bar, scroll to... and open the "External Output" menu.
You should see a list of [however many] inputs your particular t.v has. Scroll to the input number that the 3 RCA cables are attached to, and press that number as the default video screen.
Exit the prompts and your Xbox video screen should be displayed.

I have a 19" phillips lcd tv and when i turn the tv on the phillips screen comes up but when it is going the show the channel it shut off by itself how can i fix this problem?

Hello. I may be able to assist you. If you are using a direct cable connection from the wall outlet;
  • Check the incoming cable or antenna signal connection to ensure that it is properly secured to the TV's antenna input.
  • If the connection is good, perform the automatic installation again to search for all available channels.
If you are using a coaxial connection from the Cable or Satellite box to the TV;
  • Set the TV to the channel specified by the service provider.
  • Change the channels at the Cable or Satellite box to view the program.
If you are using a video connection (CVBS, S-Video, YPbPr, HDMI) from the source (DVD, Cable or Satellite box) to the TV;
  • You do not need to perform automatic installation to search for the channels.
  • Press the 'SOURCE' 071218044349_22024.gif button on the remote control repeatedly to select the correct input source.
If you are using an HDMI connection from the source (DVD, Cable or Satellite box) to the TV;
  1. Reset the TV and source by unplugging it from the power outlet for 30 seconds.
  2. Turn on the TV and press the play button on your source device. If the source is HDMI CEC compliant, the TV will automatically switch to the HDMI input.
  3. If your source is not HDMI CEC compliant, turn on the TV and switch to the HDMI input.
  4. Turn on your source.
If you are sure you have selected the correct input or channel but still have no picture or sound;
  • Try resetting the TV by unplugging it from the power outlet for 30 seconds.
  • Press the 'SOURCE' 071218044349_22024.gif button to select the correct input source.
  • Check the connection cables.
  • Try the connected source with another TV.
  • Connect a different source on the same connection of your TV.

Tv want show

Look at the back of your TV.  Make sure your cable is hooked up to connector on far right, NOT the far left. (For analog cable TV.)

Push "source" button on remote or side of TV to cycle through TV inputs.  Wait one second between pushes.  You want to stop just before the source that displays "AV" on TV screen.  It should show a number, for the current channel number.

If you are using an analog cable box, try setting the TV channel to 3 or 4.  If you use no cable box, try changing channels on TV to find an active one.  If no luck, make sure your cable service is active (subscription active).  Cable companies disconnect it between residents of an apartment/house.
