SOURCE: I have a Model #3510 Lasko Cyclone Fan and the blades are dirty

Steam works great, otherwise you can use a degreaser and hose it off. Make sure you let it dry completey and then some before plugging back in.

SOURCE: Cleaning

Model E20739: The entire back comes off to expose the fan blades after removing two screws. Just unplug the unit. On the back of the unit near the top is a recess that acts as a carrying handle. In that area you will see two large silver-colored screws. Remove these, grasp the back of the unit and push down on it as you pull it away from the body of the fan. You may have to wiggle it around a little to free it.

SOURCE: Lasko 3520 20-Inch Cyclone fan - disassemble fan for cleaning?

How do I clean my Cyclone or Air Companion™?
Lay the fan face up on a flat surface. The front grill should be facing you. Remove the screws from the rear grill. Place a flat-head screwdriver into the gap between the front and rear grills. Pull the front grill towards you, exposing the fan blade. Do not remove the knobs on either side. Then, wipe the blade with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if necessary. Be sure not to touch the motor. Click here to download product instruction sheet.

The fan is plugged into the electrical outlet but it won't come on.

Please check your power cable for loose connection. Check also the fuse on your fan if so equipped.

How do I fix my fan from shaking so badly?

Did you just clean the fan? If while cleaning, you bent a fan blade, even a hair it will shake. Blades are perfectly balanced. Moving one just a hair, will cause the fan to shake. Trying to re=balance the blade(s) is futile, you can get it close, but it will take somr patience. If the fan has built up dust on the blade(s) will begin to shake if some blew off unevenly

Buy a new fan or do without the oscillation untIl it breaks worse, thenndiscard or pay a lot to have a new part made. Lasko will nOt and doesn't stock the replacement Teflon partial gear that wears out. Planned obsolescence!!!
