Question about Refrigerators
It sounds like your door sensor switch failed so no matter what you do, it will keep going off until you replace it. What's the make and model of your unit?

Most likely, or first thing to check is the door switch. When the door is open push the switch to see if the light goes out, if it doesn't replace. If the switch works look through a tiny crack and see if the light goes out. If it doesnt maybe a spacer pad fell off.

Try spraying WD-40 into the door latching mechanism (door side). I learned this fix after two battery replacements, but have only had to spray twice in the more than seven years of ownership

The problem you are experiencing is the drivers side interior light switch is not working. This is usually found in the door latch on later model cars and usually requires the complete latch mechanism changing. However it would pay to check that your car doesn't have a pin switch fitted in the pillar.Unfortunately I think you have the former.

Thanks so much for the advice. I just gently pried the door sensor switch on my Samsung RB1855SL out with a butter knife and then pulled out the electrical connection and it fired up right away. It looks like some orange juice seeped in and corroded it. What a relief to have the fridge working again, not to mention to not have to listen to the beeping.

Sounds like you have a bad door switch. Depending on the age of the fridge, it might still be under warranty. If it's not, then you might be able to access the door switch yourself and pull it out & replace it.

Hey friend, thank you for your post!
In order to stop the door ajar alarm from beeping when the door is closed you would need to reset the alarm. If you have done that and it continues to beep it could be an issue within the switch or panel of your Frigidaire freezer. I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnose your appliance. -Matt
