Hi I have a cobra 29ltd crome I can receive but when I key the mic to talk like it use to before in the talk back and the needle doesn't move with I talk in the mic.

This "talkback" feature may be due to someone having modified the radio by adding a small resistor between the speaker circuit & circuit ground.Another cause could be the shield lead in the mike plug shorting to the plug itself.

SOURCE: what exactly does the anl nb/anl button do on my
ANL stands for "Automatic Noise Limiter" and NB stands for "Noise Blanker".
The ANL gets rid of a lot of interference noise caused by mechanical noise from motors and other electronic components in a car.
It also gets rid of noise from other sources of interference.
The NB is for extreme cases of noise, but can slightly lessen your receive sensitivity.
Basically both functions help decrease interference noise.
