Remote codes for Sceptre - 500 and 677.

Instructions for addressing the remote to the TV
1. Press and hold down the TV button until all the mode button light up red.
2. Enter the 3 digit code for your TV in the remote keypad.
3. Press the pound(#) button once.
4. Test the functionality of your TV.

020 worked for me. Look up the Sony codes and try them as these Sceptre TV's have Sony panels in them.

Thanks...this worked great for me. I used code 11100 on my Sceptre tv and it appears to be working perfectly!

The Sceptre TV do use the Sony codes. However, the cheap universal remotes do not have the buttons needed. The Volume Up/down and channel up/down are controlled with the circle of buttons (arrows) in the middle of the remote.
You can get an OEM remote from Sceptre. They still have them available. Sceptre is in California.
