I have a Bosch PKG775DB1Y electric cooktop. It won't turn ON. I am NOT in Lock mode. After I disconnect power for a few seconds it starts working OK. Randomly the problem will return. Any ideas?

By far the most common cause of what you describe is
Demo Mode is turned ON

It won - 1-bq0fxqg1zh3iovhrefhl5oob-1-0_1.jpg If am certain you have already checked to make certain there are not too many appliances plugged into the same outlet, and that you are not trying to run your Bosch through a power strip or so-called "surge protector", which are worthless troublemakers.

Hello Stan, thank you for you answer. Unfortunately this does not help. I am not in Demo mode. After I manage to turn it On everything works fine. The problem is that after awhile that the cooktop is Off for a long while it won't turn back on.

Check to make sure your burner caps are aligned. I had this problem, and it turned out one of my burner caps was slightly askew. Putting it level fixed the problem.

Firstly turn the power off. Lift the cooktop out from the benchtop and lean it against the wall. There will be a small panel where the wiring terminates into the cooktop. Remove the panel and disconnect the wiring to the cooktop. Ensure that you insulate all wires properly. You can then turn the power back on if you need to.

Stove top in lock mode

Hold your finger or thumb on the red light for a few seconds, and you will hear three beeps. This tells you that the lock is off. If the light is not on, do the same and there will be three beeps, and the light will come on, telling you that the lock is back on.
