The image of my TV Philips 58pfl9966 goes off for several seconds and comes back for a while, the it goes off again. Is t-con board the responsable of this ?

T con board is responsible for the final image that appears on set. If there are anomalies or issues with it they can be traced to that board.

Both when playing games via RCA or HDMI, and when watching cable, the tv screen randomly changes to verticle multicolored lines. If I unplug it and plug it back in, it may go all day with it happening...

The tvs shops will cost u like around $300-350 for the board part that call the T-CON board and labors.The board that call the T-CON board it is shorting out and dying to causes this.This T-CON board sit in the middle at the bottom of the tv LCD screen panel.U have some basic mechanicals skills like take things aparts and putting it back together again?Yes,tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a new refurbish T-CON board for the replacement by ur self.The T-CON board probally will cost u like 80-90 dollars plus shipping.

I have a lg l246wh monitor, the lower 3rd of the screen kind of tears up (sometimes leaving the previous image) but the top 2 /3rds is still normal, if you smack the side it goes for a few seconds then...

You can try reseating the ribbon cable on the LCD panel first, but I have a feeling you have bad T-CON board (if the T-CON board is integrated into the LCD panel, then new panel will be needed)

This problems is the causes of the T-CON decoders board is dying.This T-CON decoders board sit at the bottom right in the middle of the LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON decoders board for the replacement.

Color image is coming out black and white

does it happen on the any input or just on tv setting?
if it's judt tv then sounds like the tuner, if it's on any input, then the video chip or a decoder on that board.
