Hello, from what you describe there may be several reasons for this to happen
First, lower the volume to the position between No. 4 and No. 5 of the adjustment range, then select an input that you have a CD or DVD player OR simply put the radio and tune to a station, after having something that give you sound, verify that Tape / DAT and VCR1 controls are not enabled, since they cancel the listening directly, if you can not solve it, verify that the jumpers on the rear panel correspond to the input and Processor output
I sent you a photo that tells you what I describe
If you have technical knowledge I send you the link to download the service manual
If with all this checked, you do not have positive results, go to a specialized technical service
I hope I can hear your Sansui soon
Greetings Franco Dosil

Check the middle button on the side. Hold it in and raise the earpiece volume to the highest before you throw the phone away.
SOURCE: No sound
I've had my speakers for about a year now and all of a sudden they just stopped playing music/sound. I can still hear that 'fuzz' if I put either speaker up to my ear. Everything lights up properly but nothing is being played.
SOURCE: Humming sound to speakers from amplifier
Hello,
It sounds like you may have a ground loop issue. I'd start by checking all the power and ground connections. Then disconnect the RCA wires from the amplifier. If the hum goes away then you should try grounding the stereo to a better grounding point, the factory grounds are usually not very good at all. Then try it again, if it is still there try replacing the RCA"s.
If the hum is still there after you've redone the connections and replaced the RCA's, you may need to install a ground loop isolator.
Both www.crutchfield.com and www.sonicelectronix.com sell good ones.
Hope this helps
SOURCE: problems connecting turntable to amplifier
I hope you have it connected to the Phono input on the left rear of the receiver. Otherwise the minute signal generated by the phono cartridge is too small for the other inputs to process.
The buzzing noise/bad channel is probably a bad connection in the tonearm/headshell connection or one of the 4 wires attaching the cartridge to the shell. If you DON'T want to blow up your speakers, TURN YOUR RECEIVER OFF, turn the volume to 0 or select another input before messing around with the tonearm.
Swap the two channels from the tonearm to the Phono connectors to prove the buzzing is external (at the turntable). I think the Dual CS415 uses the old standard headshell. With the volume down flip the lever toward the back, carefully remove the assembly and look over the tiny multi-colored wires with the brass crimp-on ends. We're looking for tight kinks or broken wires. Then put it back. maybe reseat it a few times to wear off any oxidation and try it again.
