Most fuses are 20mm in size, they also come in surge and quick blow. If in doubt go for the Quick Blow type. However fuses tend to blow if there is an overload. Often caused by a shorted power amp transistor or device. If the fuse goes again then you have a short somewhere.

SOURCE: My bass amplifier requires a ceramic fuse T10H250V. Where can I find one exactly like it?

hi,

Fuse breaks when it has succeeded in limiting further damage.

Check for other possible shorted electrical and electronic

components.

• Could be drive transistor , output transistor or both on the main amp.

But check for power supply and in the preamps also.

• Measure supply voltages,

• Check DC offset voltage

• Check idling current (main amp)

Isolate , and trace afterwards.

F2=3/4 AMP, 250V SLO-BLOW
F3=4 Amp, 32V
F4=5 Amp, 32V
F5=20 Amp, 32V
F6=3 Amp, 32V SLO-BLOW

On the solenoid driver board you need:

Where can I get a Type T 6.3 AH 250V fuse for a K3000FX 300Watt Keyboard Amp?

Start with a 5 amp fuse and see if that holds. If it doesn't go to 10 amp. If that pops, you will have a power supply or amplifier fault. Good luck

Fuse type for onkyo a-9555

The main power fuse for most amplifiers is a fast blow, 125 volt fuse for the US and a 250v fuse in countries with 220v. This unit is 125 watt so the main fuse should be 2 amps or so. The correct fuse size is written on the circuit board next to where the internal fuse was located.

The lights do not go on at all, it does not turn on

It may be the power supply fuse. The fuse is a "2amp Type T or slo-blo 250v" if you live in north america. If your electrical current is 230v like in europe the fuse you need is "1.25amp Type T or slo blo 250v". You will need to unplug the unit from the wall outlet, unplug all cables, and set the unit on a padded surface. Remove the 10 screws holding the amplifier to the sub box and remove the amp assembly from the box. At the bottom of the circuit board is a glass fuse, gently remove that fuse and inspect it for obvious signs, like dark burn spots. If you can, check it for continuity, or just replace it. Also before going through this check the outlet that the sub is plugged into for power.

I need a new 250v fuse for my Naim NAP 250 Power Amlifier. I am in perthshire, Scotland and can't find any help on the internet. Any idea where I might be able to get one please?

Fuses are mostly standard sizes. They are measured by length for example 20mm is typical, however what is more crucial is the rating. This can be found on the metal cap of the fuse. For instance 1A or 250MA. Standing for Amps and Milli-amps. Also there is a type too! Either Fast Blow which will look a single wire inside it, the other is Slow Blow, which will have a coil in it. However since it's blown you might not be able to see the wire! Unless you can see a coil at all assume it's a fast blow type.
If you can ID the fuse rating and size the best place to order online would be Curry's Partmaster. If you can't it would be best to take it to either Maplin or your local TV/radio shop, they should be able to tell you.
HOWEVER I should warn you that fuses don't tend to just blow on their own. Most go because of an overload in either the power supply of the amp, or failure of whatever is on that big heat sink.
So don't just buy one! Don't worry fuse are cheap!
But if anything else has gone that might not be!
There are other fuse types, but the glass with metal type is more common.

T12.5L 250V fuse for carver amp

Yes T1 stands for fuse One. The fuse is a 2.5amp at 250volts. The only thing you need to work out now is if it's a Quick blow or Slow Blow type. Sometimes you can still see the remains of the wire that's gone on the old one. This is your best clue to it. If it is a single wire it's a Quick, if you can see a coil then it's the other.
If in doubt use a Quick blow type.

Hi there we have a la cimbali m30 dosatron and someone has pulled out all the fuses on the pc board and we need to know what sizes they are to replace them. Thanks Simon

There usually no fuses on a M30 dosatron unless it's the "L" shaped supplemental supply board which has a small 250V, 6 3/4 A fuse (half the size of a normal glass tube fuse). Most boards use a similar size but rated at 4 amps for the PC board power protection. The only other fuses (older models) have big 10 amp jobs for the main power to the heater elements. But this has been replace with safety relay and or high thermal limit breakers. you should be able to find both at a hardware store. The smaller fuses at Radio shack or electronic store.

What type of fuse do you get for a Breeze AT EcoQuest unit?

A buss type fuse is like the glass tubeb with metal ends and just snaps in two clamp type holder. Any automotive store carries them. know what amperage, like 5, 10,15 ,20 etc. The 250 v is the norm. The fuse protects against amperage overload not voltage. They come in tins of assorted or specifc in fives. Good luck
